  • Patent number: 7329070
Abstract: A tensioner assembly having a fully extended position, a fully retracted position and a plurality of extended positions there between, for supporting a riser extending downwardly from a platform to a subsea wellhead. The tensioner assembly can have a riser conductor portion, a tension disk, a lower support structure, a plurality of ram tensioner piston rods, a cylinder deck, a plurality of hydraulic stroke cylinders, a plurality of first primary accumulators, a plurality of second primary accumulators, a plurality of first valves, a plurality of secondary accumulators, and a plurality of second valves.

  • Patent number: 7270071
Abstract: The present invention is a deep draft partially submersible and buoyant floating vessel comprised of at least three independent vertical columns. The columns have an upper column with an upper column diameter and a lower column integrally connected to the upper column with a lower column diameter smaller than the upper column diameters. The lower column contains a variable ballast, a free flooding ballast, and a lower column fixed ballast. The lower pontoon is connected to each lower column opposite the upper column. The lower pontoon has lower pontoon fixed ballast means. A deck is located on the columns for supporting a tensioner assembly.

  • Patent number: 5038860
Abstract: A hanger for suspending a liner in a cased subterranean well comprises an elongated tubular body having ramp elements formed on its exterior and a plurality of peripherally spaced slip elements secured to a sleeve piston surrounding the lower end of the tubular body. Seals provided intermediate the piston and the tubular body define a first fluid pressure chamber. A clean fluid is supplied to the first pressure chamber through an axially extending passageway of restricted diameter provided in the wall of the tubular body and having an opening at its bottom end communicating with the first pressure chamber and at its top end communicating with a second pressure chamber defined by a tubing carried run-in tool detachably engaged with the liner hanger.

  • Patent number: 4917195
Abstract: A subsea drilling drive pipe apparatus for drilling offshore wells from a floating vessel into the ocean floor. An elongated drilling drive pipe including a plurality of locking pads which are circumferentially positioned about the drive pipe periphery. A foundation structure is removably engageable with the elongated drive pipe by one or more locking pins which detachably engage the drive pipe thereby permitting the assembled members to be lowered as a unit to the ocean floor in contemplation of a subsea well drilling operation.
