Abstract: A wheelchair can comprise: a frame comprising an upper portion and a lower portion that is coupled to the upper portion so that the upper portion is vertically adjustable with respect to the lower portion. A pair of drive wheels can be coupled to the frame. A plurality (e.g., a pair) of casters are coupled to the frame. Each caster can have a respective swivel axis. At least one caster of the plurality of casters can be configured to be locked to prevent swiveling about its respective swivel axis and unlocked to enable swiveling about its respective swivel axis.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure include convertible seats for watercraft, and more particularly to seat systems configured to provide both standard and elevated (also known as casting or sighting) seat options for recreational watercraft, such as kayaks and the like. In various embodiments, a recreational watercraft such as a kayak may include both a standard seat in the cockpit, and an elevated seat comprising a molded-in seat platform formed in the hull and/or deck of the watercraft. In various embodiments, the standard seat may be configured to be stowed at least partially under the elevated seat when the standard seat is not in use.

Abstract: A method for multicasting Internet Protocol (IP) streaming data to a mobile platform passenger is provided. The method includes receiving data content at a base station network from a content provider. The received data is formatted at the base station into an IP multicast data stream and communicated to a mobile platform communications system onboard a mobile platform. The mobile platform communications system includes a local area network (LAN) used to distribute the IP multicast data stream to at least one mobile platform client interface. The data content of the IP multicast data stream is then displayed on the mobile platform client interface for viewing by a mobile platform passenger. Additionally, the method includes applying forward error correction (FEC) to the IP multicast data stream to correct for data losses, prior to distributing the IP multicast data stream to the mobile platform client interface.

Abstract: An improved canoe including a hull has sidewalls extending fore and aft and a gunwale on the sidewalls. The gunwale has longitudinal slot extending for a substantial portion of the entire hull. A canoe accessory has a thickened attachment portion for engagement in the slot to attach the accessory to the canoe. A method of canoeing includes inserting a thickened portion of a canoeing accessory into a slot at a canoe gunwale to retain the accessory in place and paddling the canoe on a body of water.

Abstract: An improved thermoplastic kayak or canoe including a thermoplastic hull having an opening and a coaming integral with the hull and bordering the opening and including an outer and inner walls, the inner wall spaced apart from the outer wall, and at least one support bridge extending between the inner wall to the outer wall of the coaming.

The seat includes a pelvis support and a separately positionable thigh support pivotally mounted on the pelvis support. An adjustable back support includes a post pivotally mounted to the pelvis support and a backrest that moves vertically on the post. Means are provided for adjusting and setting the thigh support and back support at desired positions for optimal support and comfort. Preferably, a person can adjust the seat while fully seated in the seat.

Abstract: An improved paddle craft provides a boater with exterior controls to adjust items within the craft. The craft has a shell made of a substantially continuous surface to prevent the ingress of water and an adjustable item in the paddle craft affecting a boater's ergonomics, a cockpit and cockpit opening and at least one control opening within a boater's reach when the boater is sitting in the cockpit. A control for the adjustable item is mounted to the control opening, wherein the control has a manipulable handle at the control opening through a water resistant mount.
