  • Patent number: 6264112
Abstract: A fuel injector for an engine includes a continuous endoskeletal injector tube enclosing an imperforate continuous passage for fuel flow from an inlet end to an outlet end of the tube. A valve seat, injection valve, tubular magnetic pole, biasing spring and adjusting sleeve are mounted within the tube, optionally with other elements, all being exposed to fuel in the passage defined by the tube. A solenoid coil and a magnetic body together with mounting components and seals are mounted on the exterior of the tube where they are protected from exposure to the fuel, which is restricted to passage within the continuous tube. The body, pole and armature form a magnetic flux concentrating path operative to attract the armature to the pole and open the valve when the coil is energized. The solenoid coil may be preassembled with its connector in a body forming a separate coil assembly for subsequent installation on the injector tube.

  • Patent number: 6105884
Abstract: An injector fuel injection valve is guided at the lower end by a plastic valve guide mounted in a nozzle containing a valve seat engagable by the valve element. The valve guide includes inwardly protruding annularly spaced ribs having inner guide surfaces and defining spaced flow channels. The guide surfaces engage the circular or spherical exterior of the valve element to guide the element to properly aligned seating against the conical valve seat. The plastic or polymeric valve guide is preferably molded in place within the cup shaped metal nozzle but, if desired, the valve guide may be separately molded and subsequently inserted or snapped in place within the nozzle. A second plastic valve guide may be provided for guiding the upper end of an associated armature.

  • Patent number: 4551885
Abstract: A fish decapitator and eviscerator comprises a framework mounting a power driven conveyor belt including a series of flexibly connected open ended transverse containers, each container adapted to support a fish. An adjustable stop is spaced from the containers, and a power rotated brush is mounted upon the framework and rotatable in a plane at right angles to the belt. The bristles frictionally engage each fish thereunder during feeding of the belt laterally advancing the fish outwardly of its container successively to the stop. A power rotated knife rotates in a plane parallel to the stop for successively severing the fish heads during longitudinal movement of the belt. The fish move downwardly around the end of the belt and drop belly down into a transverse feed channel. A conveyor underlies the channel and advances the fish in a line to and between a pair of opposed horizontal coplanar flexible fish holding and feeding conveyors.

  • Patent number: 4399588
Abstract: An automatic fish feeder and orientor has a framework with top rails upon which are pivotally mounted spaced pairs of supports. A reciprocal feed table overlies and is pivotally mounted on the supports. A reciprocal feed plate is spaced below the table and is pivotally connected to the lower ends of the supports. A fish receiver is mounted upon the table and terminates at one end in a fish outlet. A fish delivery channel is mounted along the feed plate. A chute at one end communicates with the receiver outlet and at its other end, communicates with the delivery channel. Gill engaging supports are mounted within the receiver and channel for intermittently feeding the fish head first in one direction, through the outlet and chute and along the delivery channel. A power drive reciprocates the feed plate and connected table, moving them in opposite directions.
