  • Publication number: 20170304097
Abstract: A catheter for delivering a self-expanding stent-graft prosthesis includes an inner shaft component having a distal segment over which the stent-graft prosthesis is loaded in a compressed delivery configuration. The distal segment has a covering that is intimately disposed thereover. The covering forms a raised outer surface on the distal segment and includes a plurality of protrusions that extend radially outward from the raised outer surface. An outer shaft component is slidingly disposed over the distal segment of the inner shaft component for holding the stent-graft prosthesis in the compressed delivery configuration. In the compressed delivery configuration, the stent-graft prosthesis is disposed over and makes contact with the covering of the distal segment of the inner shaft component such that at least the plurality of protrusions provide sufficient friction to of the covering secure a longitudinal position of the stent-graft prosthesis relative to the inner shaft component.

  • Patent number: 9687344
Abstract: A delivery system for percutaneously delivering and deploying a stented prosthetic heart valve. The delivery device includes a delivery sheath slidably disposed over an inner shaft, and a capture assembly. The capture assembly includes a spindle and a biasing member. The spindle is attached to the inner shaft and defines slot. The biasing member is disposed within the slot and self-transitions from a deflected condition to a normal condition. In a delivery state, the delivery sheath retains the prosthesis over the inner shaft and coupled to the spindle via the capture slot, including a portion of the prosthetic valve being engaged within the slot and the biasing member forced to the deflected condition. In a deployment state, the delivery sheath is proximally withdrawn and the biasing member self-transitions toward the normal condition to eject the prosthetic valve from the capture slot.

  • Patent number: 9687009
Abstract: A method of producing a pasta filata cheese product, such as a Mozzarella-type cheese, in a continuous process without emulsifier or pH regulator additives requires preparing a typical pasta filata-type cheese curd and supplying the curd in cut pieces to one end of a processing chamber. The chamber has an agitator which rotates to work, knead, stretch and move the curd through the chamber. At the same time, steam is injected into the curd in the chamber through a plurality of injection nozzles spaced along the length of the chamber to heat and cook the cheese while it is mechanically worked. The cooked product exiting from the chamber is molded to a desired shape.

  • Publication number: 20160182194
Abstract: A method and apparatus of a network element that keeps a port of the network element up in a split port configuration is described. In an exemplary embodiment, the network element receives an indication of a link loss on a receive interface of the port, wherein the port includes the receive interface and a transmit interface. In addition, the receive interface is coupled to a first device over a first link, and the transmit interface is coupled to a second device over a second link. Furthermore, the network element performs an operation of the port such that a link coupled to a transmit interface of the port remains up. The network element additionally suppresses receive faults that are received on the receive interface.
