Abstract: Disclosed herein is a trash collection and removal system that includes a flexible, foldable heavy-duty dumpster bag configured to engage with specially designed clamps that are secured onto the tines of a front loader truck and that engage with the dumpster bag by means of connecting and receiving pipes.

Abstract: A concrete washout bag system is disclosed that is easy to transport and to assemble at a construction site and includes a frame and a foldable washout bag which is assembled onto the frame by means of unitarily formed sleeves, and is manufactured from a strong, water-proof material that allows it to be hoisted for carrying away heavy loads without tearing and includes a drawstring closure for retaining of washout materials during the hoisting, removal process.

Abstract: Photonic band gap fibers are described having one or more defects suitable for the acceleration of electrons or other charged particles. Methods and devices are described for exciting special purpose modes in the defects including laser coupling schemes as well as various fiber designs and components for facilitating excitation of desired modes. Results are also presented showing effects on modes due to modes in other defects within the fiber and due to the proximity of defects to the fiber edge. Techniques and devices are described for controlling electrons within the defect(s). Various applications for electrons or other energetic charged particles produced by such photonic band gap fibers are also described.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a concrete washout system for collection and removal of contaminants from a construction site. The concrete washout system includes a flexible and foldable bag having four walls, a bottom surface and a top surface with a drawstring closure. The concrete washout system also includes a frame onto which the foldable bag is placed by means of structures designed to fit onto the frame for aiding it in standing upright and in an open position. The concrete washout system also includes hoisting loops to aid in removal of the foldable bag by a crane.

Abstract: A honeycomb-shaped panel is formed from a plurality of generally sinusoidally shaped strips of molded fiberboard material each having spaced, oppositely directed flat peaks, the peaks of adjacent strips being secured together to form a plurality of hexagonally shaped cells extending perpendicular to the surfaces of the sheet. The strips may be cut from a single sheet of corrugated fiberboard sheet material and then secured together to form the honeycomb panel, or a plurality of such panels may be secured together face to face with their ribs aligned to form a stack, and selected cuts may be made through the secured, stacked panels to form a plurality of honeycomb panels of desired surface shape and height dimensions. The strips forming the cells are substantially rigid and resistant to collapse of the cells, and form a substantially rigid core when assembled between two flexible fiberboard skins, while the panel is bendable to adopt a desired panel curvature.

Abstract: A fiberboard panel is formed from at least one corrugated sheet of molded cellulose fiber material having alternating ribs and grooves. Spaced slits are cut through the ribs on one face of the sheet and terminate short of the opposite face so as to form at least one slotted portion of more flexibility which may be bent to form a curve. The corrugated sheet is sandwiched between two flat sheets of the same material to form a composite panel. The corrugated sheet or panel is formed by a wet processing method including successive cold and hot press steps in which a wet mat is pressed between an opposing perforated platen and non-perforated, elastomeric material platen of cross-sectional shape substantially matching the desired panel shape and dimensions.

The system comprises a database of offers accessible through connection by consumer operated computers upon authentication of consumer registration, an offer presentation module for controlling access to the database of offers and a consumer registration module allowing registration of a consumer for access to the database of offers. The consumer registration module allows registration of a consumer upon submission of identifying information provided to the consumer by a party who has identified the consumer as belonging to a designated category and used to identify the consumer as belonging to the designated category.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for data management and routing. Associated collections of information comprising data and associated documents are received, with the documents in each grouping of information being able to be received in one of a variety of formats. Each collection of information that is received is assembled into an information package, and the data and documents in each information package are further assembled into a transfer package in a standardized format for processing. Each document is translated into a standardized format with the standardized format being independent of the format in which the document is received.

Abstract: Lightweight concrete incorporating expanded polystyrene beads is made by first coating the expanded beads with an aqueous surfactant solution, which preferably contains a substantive cationic surfactant, e.g. a substituted or ethoxylated quaternary ammonium compound containing a C.sub.10 to C.sub.18 alkyl substituent or an ethoxylated primary or secondary amine having a C.sub.10 to C.sub.18 alkyl substituent, and a non-ionic surfactant such as an ethoxylated primary or secondary alcohol or a nonylphenol-ethylene oxide condensate. The wet beads are coated with dry cement and then mixed with a further supply of cement, water and sand or aggregate to complete the concrete mix.
