  • Patent number: 9361049
Abstract: An embodiment generally relates to systems and methods for determining a conversion location based on the content of a document and an intended quality level of the document. More particularly, processing logic can be configured to analyze a document submitted for rendering to determine a content level of the document. Further the processing logic can compare the content level to an intended quality level specified by a user of the document to determine whether to convert the document on local resources or in a cloud-based network. An associated conversion application in the appropriate location can convert the document into a printable format, and a print engine can render the converted document.

  • Publication number: 20100005038
Abstract: A method of determining a quality output of a page based on a price input and examining content of a page. Examining content of a page includes detecting at least one object on the page and determining an approximate area of coverage of the at least one object on the page. The method also includes approximating a cost of printing the page based on the approximate area of coverage. The method also includes processing a user selected price for printing the page and comparing the user selected price to the approximated cost of printing the page. The method also includes generating the page based on the comparison between the user selected price and the approximated cost of printing the page.

  • Publication number: 20060227386
Abstract: Present systems and methods provide for accurate measurement of the colorant densities in a printed image using a calibrated digital scanner. The scanner is provided with a printed scanner calibration target with a plurality of color patches having known colorant density values. The scanner calibration target is scanned and the colorant density values that correspond to the scanned data are compared to the known values. Accordingly, the scanner profile can be adjusted to provide consistent and accurate measurement of the colorant densities in printed images.
