  • Patent number: 11423784
Abstract: A method of controlling a parking operation of a vehicle by a parking assista?ce system involves: capturing the position of a vehicle user located close to but outside of the vehicle; determining a provisional target position and a provisional motion path for the vehicle based on a vehicle starting position and the position of the vehicle user; checking whether the provisional target position and/or the motion of the vehicle into the provisional target position along the provisional motion path would cause a collision with the vehicle user; and if a result of the checking is affirmative, then changing the provisional target position and/or the provisional motion path so that no collision with the vehicle user will occur at the changed target position and/or along the changed motion path.

  • Patent number: 10953851
Abstract: An entry and starting system in an object has a control and transmission unit configured to use a radio link to interchange at least one radio signal and an ultrasonic link to interchange at least one ultrasonic signal with a portable electronic device. The control and transmission unit sets up a radio link to the portable electronic device and uses the electronic device via the radio link to stipulate at least one relevant parameter for a subsequent ultrasonic link. The control and transmission unit is additionally configured so as, following the stipulation of the parameters, to set up an ultrasonic link according to the previously determined parameters. The entry and starting system checks an authorization of the portable electronic device, the portable electronic device being detected as authorized if the at least one relevant parameter of a subsequent ultrasonic link is concordant with the at least one stipulated parameter.

  • Patent number: 9852563
Abstract: A method to learn and then pair with a pre-installed access control system of a vehicle is discussed. Communication is exchanged between the access control system and a backend cloud-based system. Required data of the access control system including its particular authentication code is extracted by a learning device. A vehicle matching data is sent to the backend cloud-based system and the vehicle is registered with the backend cloud-based system. The learning device is registered to the access control system in accordance with learning procedures implemented in the vehicle as remote entry key. The learning device is coupled to a Radio Frequency signal transmitter that has Application-Specific Integrated Circuits to generate stable RF signals at multiple frequency wavelengths.

  • Patent number: 6219217
Abstract: A control unit is supplied with a reset signal by a reset module at periodic time intervals. The control unit uses the period duration of the reset signal as a time base in order to measure the time. After a predefined number of period durations has expired, the propagation time of an internal timer is used for a precise determination of the time. As a result of the use of the reset signal, the control unit is predominantly in the sleep mode. As a result, the consumption of current is reduced.
