  • Patent number: 6968860
Abstract: A faucet comprising a spout, a passageway, an electrically operable valve; a first manual valve; a first manual handle; and a bypass. The passageway conducts water flow through the spout. The electrically operable valve is disposed within the passageway. The first manual valve disposed within the passageway in series with the electrically operable valve. The first manual handle that controls the first manual valve. The bypass has a first end above the electrically operable valve, relative to the water flow, and a second end below the electrically operable valve, such that a portion of the water flow bypasses the electrically operable valve.

  • Patent number: 6230445
Abstract: A wall system includes a wall section, such as a section of a partition, having a horizontal frame defining a horizontal row of attachment sites, such as a row of slots. An adjustable bracket includes a pair of vertical blades constructed to engage selected ones of the attachment sites, and further includes at least one telescoping horizontal support spanning between and supported by the pair of vertical blades, and still further includes universal connector brackets for engaging the telescoping horizontal support. The horizontal spacing of the blades can be adjusted to accommodate a component, and the telescopingly adjustable horizontal support can be adjusted to reach between the blades. The universal connectors adjustably engage the horizontal support and include slots to facilitate attachment to connectors on a back, a bottom, or sides of the component.

  • Patent number: 6053577
Abstract: A chair includes a base, a seat supported on the base and defining right and left sides, and an armrest. The armrest includes an armrest support rotatably supported under the seat on a bearing mechanism on the base for 360.degree. of movement around the seat, including movement to positions adjacent the right and left sides of the seat. The seat is slidably supported on the base for movement between a forward use position and a rearward position, the rearward position permitting increased clearance in front of the seat for adjustment of the armrest, but the seat being normally biased toward the forward position by a spring device. The base includes a control for supporting a reclineable back.

  • Patent number: 5970662
Abstract: A system for subdividing a building space into work areas includes interconnectable partition panels, each having an internal frame with a plurality of horizontal frame members located at predetermined heights. The horizontal frame members each have at least one horizontal row of slots, and at least one of the horizontal frame members is located slightly above an optimal worksurface height for supporting an interactively used datum shelf. Furniture components are attachable to the horizontal frame members at selected horizontal positions, including the datum shelf, an undershelf storage unit, and an upper storage unit. A mobile furniture unit is provided having a worksurface located at an optimal worksurface height, the worksurface having a cantilevered edge section that can be extended partially under the datum shelf at a selected optimal depth for coordinated and efficient use of the datum shelf concurrent with using the worksurface.
