    Abstract: An information system (10) including a plurality of computer systems is provided. The information system (10) includes a first computer system (16) having an IBM System/360/370 I/O interface channel (18). The first computer system (16) is operable to communicate SNA and non-SNA protocol information via the IBM System/360/370 I/O interface channel (18). The information system (10) includes a second computer system (40) having a SCSI bus (38). The second computer system (40) is operable to communicate SCSI protocol information via the SCSI bus (38). An adapter (36) is coupled to the IBM System/360/370 I/O interface channel (18) of the first computer system (16) and the SCSI bus (38) of the second computer system (40). The adapter (36) is operable to interface the SCSI bus (38) with the IBM System/360/370 I/O interface channel (18) to allow bi-directional communication between the first computer system (16) and the second computer system (40).
