  • Publication number: 20240165429
Abstract: Various embodiments are directed to a method of driving an end effector coupled to an ultrasonic drive system of a surgical instrument. The method comprises generating at least one electrical signal. The at least one electrical signal is monitored against a first set of logic conditions. A first response is triggered when the first set of logic conditions is met. A parameter is determined from the at least one electrical signal.

  • Publication number: 20240148332
Abstract: Devices, systems, and techniques are disclosed for verifying the occurrence of an acute health event. An example device includes communication circuitry configured to receive a communication indicative of an acute health event of a patient and memory communicatively coupled to the communication circuitry and being configured to store the indication of the acute health event. The device includes processing circuitry communicatively coupled to the communication circuitry and the memory. The processing circuitry is configured to, in response to the communication, verify the acute health event and based on the verification of the acute health event, send an alert regarding the acute health event.

  • Publication number: 20240148429
Abstract: A method for determining motional branch current in an ultrasonic transducer of an ultrasonic surgical device over multiple frequencies of a transducer drive signal. The method may comprise, at each of a plurality of frequencies of the transducer drive signal, oversampling a current and voltage of the transducer drive signal, receiving, by a processor, the current and voltage samples, and determining, by the processor, the motional branch current based on the current and voltage samples, a static capacitance of the ultrasonic transducer and the frequency of the transducer drive signal.

  • Patent number: 4668196
Abstract: A manually powered boat for use as desired by one, two, three or more operators is disclosed. Balanced floatation is maintained regardless of the number of occupants/operators. The boat includes a buoyant hull, a centered, rotatable propulsion assembly enclosed in a housing, and a seat for at least three persons. Cranks for operating the propulsion assembly are included on each side of the housing. Foot pedals are arranged on the cranks to enable operation by a single operator/occupant while sitting in the center of the boat and straddling the housing. Alternately, two persons may sit on either side of the boat. For a three or more person operation, the pedals are positioned to allow adjacent legs and feet of persons seated side-by-side and immediately adjacent one another to be extended and moved in unison for comfort and coordination.
