  • Patent number: 5104007
Abstract: An ice handling and beverage dispenser includes an agitator assembly mounted within a downwardly sloping ice storage bin, the assembly including a rotor connected to an agitator with the agitator comprising a frame to sweep the ice and the rotor having a plurality of circumferentially arranged L-shaped ice moving scoops. The agitator assembly is rotatably driven by a motor adjacent a front wall of the bin whereby ice is lifted by the scoops from a location adjacent the bottom of the bin to an outlet chute thereabove. When used in a beverage cooling dispenser, the sweep arm "sweeps" the bin wall whereby ice is caused to fall onto a cold plate disposed therebelow.

  • Patent number: 5056325
Abstract: A refrigeration control system having a temperature sensor responsive to condenser temperature. The sensor turns a condenser fan on and off in order to maintain the condenser temperature within pre-determined limits and also shuts down the refrigerant compressor in response to a predetermined maximum temperature.

  • Patent number: 4497184
Abstract: An apparatus for producing relatively uniform size high quality ice particles comprising a generally cylindrically-shaped ice forming chamber, a rotatable auger disposed in said chamber and adapted to cause ice formed on the inner side thereof to be formed into a generally cylindrically-shaped ice body, an ice discharge member disposed at one end of said chamber and being provided with a plurality of circumferentially arranged ice discharge openings overlying said cylindrical body, whereby rotation of said auger causes said cylindrical body to move toward and into engagement with said ice discharge member so that portions of said body are forced into said openings and are thereby compacted to remove ice make-up water therefrom, the dimensions of said openings being selected so that flow passages are provided between peripheral portions of the ice body moving through the ice discharge openings and the peripheral walls of said openings to permit ice make-up water to flow back toward the freezing chamber.

  • Patent number: 3930377
Abstract: A conduit structure for use in an ice transport system consisting of a plurality of individual conduit members, the adjacent ends of which are interconnected by conduit couplings, the conduit structure being of the one-piece uniform cross-section construction and including an intermediate section and first and second opposite end sections which are of a relatively linear configuration, the conduit structure further including first and second relatively arcuate sections interposed one between the first end section and the intermediate section and the other interposed between the intermediate section and the second end section, whereby the conduit structure can be severed within the intermediate section thereof to provide two separate conduit parts, each having a non-linear intermediate section and relatively linear opposed end sections adapted for operative association with the conduit couplings.
