Abstract: An audio newspaper system obtains or receives non-audio content items from a publisher and converts them into audio format content items. As part of the conversion, the software may be configured to create summaries from the content items. The summaries may include an overall news summary or headline summaries for different content categories. Advertisements may be associated with the audio format content items. Images may be associated with the audio format content items. The management software than provides access to the users who play selected audio format content items. The system may track and report user data back to the publisher or advertiser.
