Publication number: 20220198263Abstract: In an example embodiment, a machine-learned model is trained to specifically identify anomaly points in time series data. The model is capable of being applied in parallel to many different time series simultaneously, allowing for a scalable solution for large scale online networks. The model classifies each data point in a specified time window and outputs rich contextual information for downstream applications, such as ranking and display of the anomalous data points.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2020Publication date: June 23, 2022Inventors: Songtao Guo, Patrick Ryan Driscoll, Michael Mario Jennings, Robert Perrin Reeves, Bo Yang

Publication number: 20220198264Abstract: In an example embodiment, a machine-learned model is trained to rank anomaly points in time series data. The model is capable of being applied in parallel to many different time series simultaneously, allowing for a scalable solution for large scale online networks. The model outputs a ranking score for an input anomaly and allows for ranking of anomalies not just in the same time series but anomalies across multiple time series as well. This ranking can then be used to determine how best to present the ranked anomalies to users in a graphical user interface.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 23, 2020Publication date: June 23, 2022Inventors: Songtao Guo, Robert Perrin REEVES, Bo YANG, Wan Qi GAO, William TANG, Patrick Ryan DRISCOLL, Shan ZHOU, Taylor Shelby BURFIELD, Adriana Dominique MEZA

Publication number: 20220180181Abstract: In an example embodiment, a model is trained to specifically identify reversal points in data and then to rank these reversal points in order of importance. A reversal point shall be defined as a point in which a particular metric, specifically a first order derivative, crosses over from positive to negative or vice-versa. Users are more likely to be interested in abnormal and significant changes in data, and thus the machine-learned model is trained to evaluate a reversal point based on two dimensions: abnormality and significance.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 9, 2020Publication date: June 9, 2022Inventors: Bo YANG, Chaofan HUANG, Songtao GUO, Robert Perrin REEVES, Wan Qi GAO, Patrick Ryan DRISCOLL, Kristina Caroline RYAN, Michael Mario JENNINGS, Jeremy LWANGA, Manzarul Azad KAZI

Patent number: 7833221Abstract: A method and system for treating tissue with a surgical device includes the steps of displaying an image created by collecting imaging data from an imaging device, selecting at least one tissue target from the image, collecting image data and tracking the tissue target during at least one respiration cycle, determining the dwell position of the tissue target, and displaying an image created from image data collected with the tissue target at the dwell position. The method may further include determining the position and orientation of the surgical device with respect to the dwell position and indicating the trajectory of the surgical device on the display screen. The method may further include the steps of monitoring the respiration cycle, indicating when the tissue target is approaching the dwell position, positioning the surgical device in the patient based upon the dwell position and trajectory and treating the tissue target.Type: GrantFiled: October 22, 2004Date of Patent: November 16, 2010Assignee: Ethicon Endo-Surgery, Inc.Inventors: James W. Voegele, Robert Perrin Gill

Publication number: 20050035042Abstract: A water filter comprises a cap (70) having an inlet (84) and an outlet (74), a valve (88) being provided in the inlet (84). A housing (10) has a filter cartridge (26) removably contained in the housing. Valve opening means in the form of a ramp like projection (56) is provided on an upper end cap (40) of the filter cartridge (26). The housing is connected to the cap by a bayonet fitting. When the housing (10) is rotated to connect to the cap (70), the cartridge (26) is also rotated, and the projection (56) contacts the valve member (96) to open the valve.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 12, 2002Publication date: February 17, 2005Inventors: Gregory Rowe, Robert Perrin

Patent number: 6852165Abstract: A powder spray apparatus is described including a powder booth with a scraper bar which reciprocates across the floor thereof to collect deposited overspray powder and supply it to intakes located at each end wall. The intakes are connected by a feed channel to one or more cyclone separators. An exhaust duct may also be provided for air-borne overspray powder which preferably forms part of the feed channel. Powder recovered from the cyclone separators may be passed to a common collection hopper by use of a venturi pump which transfers the powder from each separator to the hopper via a sieve located in a ventilated enclosure above the hopper.Type: GrantFiled: April 15, 2002Date of Patent: February 8, 2005Assignee: Nordson CorporationInventors: James Ainsworth, Christopher Eastwood, Robert Perrin

Patent number: 6338657Abstract: The present invention provides a connector assembly including a connector for use in electrically connecting a surgical instrument to a power source, such as a generator. The connector generally includes an outer shell with a plurality of first and second electrical conductors disposed within the outer shell for providing the electrical connection between the surgical instrument and a cable leading to the power source. In one aspect of the present invention, the connector includes an isolation barrier disposed within the outer shell so as to separate each of the first electrical conductors from each of the second electrical conductors. In another aspect, the connector includes a keying feature in which the outer surface of the outer shell is modified so as to ensure that the connector may only be plugged into the generator a single way. This reduces the risk that the electrical conductors may be bent due to improper orientation during the insertion action.Type: GrantFiled: October 20, 2000Date of Patent: January 15, 2002Assignee: Ethicon Endo-SurgeryInventors: Richard M. Harper, Robert Perrin Gill, William T. Donofrio

Patent number: 5764894Abstract: A communication system for communicating with a network which includes a computer associated by means of a bus with a communication processor which is itself linked to a specific link of the network, the computer including a first operating system, and the processor including a second operating system, which handles the transmission of data from the bus to the network and vice versa. The communication system includes a telecommunication server associated with the first operating system, and a communication code which belongs to at least one open systems interconnection model associated with the second operating system, wherein the server provides the first operating system with access means to the various layers of the code, this code implementing the specific protocols of each layer, in order to enable transmission to the host or to the network.Type: GrantFiled: September 11, 1995Date of Patent: June 9, 1998Assignee: Bull S.A.Inventors: Gerard Boucher, Jean-Marc Gillon, Robert Perrin, Paul Ravaux
