  • Publication number: 20240093587
Abstract: An apparatus and method for trapping particles disposed in a fluid. The apparatus may comprise one or more cavities disposed axially along a length of a tubular housing, one or more connecting components disposed at opposing ends of the housing, and may optionally comprise a check valve system. Alternate embodiments are provided for forming each of the one or more cavities, which may comprise a combination of a cavity frame and cavity surface. The method may comprise flowing a fluid into a first end of a particle trap apparatus at a rate of fluid flow, directing the fluid flow at least partially through one or more cavity sub-assemblies disposed in the particle trap apparatus, collecting the particulate matter in one or more of the cavity sub-assemblies when the rate of fluid flow may slow or become suspended, and clearing collected particles from the one or more cavity sub-assemblies upon restoration of fluid flow in a primary direction of travel.

  • Patent number: 4758932
Abstract: A dual headlight assembly for use on agricultural and industrial equipment, such as tractors. Invention includes a sealed assembly of a transparent lens element, an intermediate lamp reflector member with reflective cavities, a removable lamp assembly and a rear enclosure member. The transparent lens and the rear enclosure create a housing for the other elements of the assembly. Access to the internal parts is provided through a removable access cover in the rear enclosure member.

  • Patent number: 4494418
Abstract: A multi-directional single lever control for a transmission with at least two modes of operation comprises two juxtaposed sets of speeds correlating to these modes. The shift lever pivoting with a lever mount in one direction engages speeds working in one mode and pivoting about the lever mount selectively engages oppositely aligned speeds in either mode of operation. A switch actuated by the shift lever rotation about the mount lever controls, a valve assembly for rerouting fluid flow into passages corresponding to a selected mode of operation.

  • Patent number: 4433762
Abstract: A tractor vehicle transmission is provided with a two piston brake where each piston operates in opposite directions. A pair of gears are spaced apart and the brake resides between them. Thus upon actualization the brake will contact each gear causing retardation of the gear, its attendant shaft, and the transmission as a whole allowing simpler shifting of the transmission.

  • Patent number: 4113067
Abstract: Fluid passages machined in the annular brake piston and in the outboard brake ring of a wet disc brake system allows the circulation of cooling and lubricating fluid. An annular disc brake will deliver cooling fluid to the circumferential periphery of the brake disc operating cavity where the fluid relief passages machined in the annular brake piston and in the outboard brake ring will allow the passage of this fluid out of the brake disc operation cavity thus preventing the stagnation of cooling fluid in the brake disc operating cavity.

  • Patent number: 4011930
Abstract: Providing a fluid distribution device for use in a clutch or brake system having a reaction member which operates in a fluid bath whereupon the fluid distribution device after being submerged in the fluid bath tends to distribute fluid peripherally to the reaction member such that fluid is distributed evenly and uniformly to the frictional material integral with the periphery of the reaction member.
