Robert R. Weaver has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Publication number: 20080282838
Abstract: An internal combustion engine connecting rod, having an embodiment defining a hollow beam member and a process of manufacture are disclosed. The improvement substantially reduces beam tensile and compressive stress levels through application of elliptical and convex segment profile beam sections, conserving reciprocating and rotating connecting rod weight required in high performance engine applications.
    Type: Application
    Filed: July 25, 2008
    Publication date: November 20, 2008
    Inventor: Robert R. Weaver
  • Publication number: 20080271692
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved rocker arm system for actuating poppet valves in high performance internal combustion engines. The rocker arm provides journals extending from each side fitted to outboard bearing mounts to guide the motion of the rocker arm.
    Type: Application

  • Patent number: 7398752
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved rocker arm system for actuating poppet valves in high performance internal combustion engines. The rocker arm provides trunnion journals extending from each side fitted to outboard bearing mounts to guide the motion of the rocker arm. An I-beam rocker arm having high stiffness and low mass is disclosed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: December 12, 2005
Date of Patent: July 15, 2008
    Inventor: Robert R. Weaver
  • Patent number: 6821631
Abstract: A method of treating substrates, such as wood, including the steps of applying an alkali silicate solution to one or more substrates and applying an alkali borate solution with boric oxide (B2O3) content to the substrates. Substrates that have been treated using the present method include a borate-silicate polymer within the substrate. When the present substrates are wood, wood products, or green lumber, they may be used to build structures.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: October 28, 2002
Date of Patent: November 23, 2004
    Assignee: Wood treatment Products, Inc.

  • Publication number: 20040154578
Abstract: An internal combustion engine connecting rod, having an embodiment defining a hollow beam member and a process of manufacture are disclosed. The improvement substantially reduces beam tensile and compressive stress levels through application of elliptical and oval beam sections, conserving reciprocating and rotating connecting rod weight required in high performance applications.
    Type: Application
    Filed: February 20, 2002
    Publication date: August 12, 2004
    Inventor: Robert R. Weaver
  • Patent number: 4007725
Abstract: An internal combustion engine wherein a rotary inlet gaseous mixture valve is provided and a separate rotary exhaust valve. The inlet valve and the exhaust valve are connected together through a drive means and are rotated at the same velocity and in precise timing with respect to the engine crankshaft. The exhaust valve includes a water cooling jacket thereabout. The inlet valve includes an individual gaseous mixture inlet passage for each combustion chamber.
