Abstract: Methods and systems for integrating multiple portions of a container are provided. The method and system are specifically designed for integrating multiple shell portions with ear lobe-shaped tabs. The method comprises: providing a first set of retention structures to be associated with a plurality of inter-connecting features formed on an edge of a first shell part, wherein the first set of retention structures comprise at least a lead-in feature and a retention feature; providing a second set of retention structures to be associated with a plurality of inter-connecting features formed on an edge of a second shell part, wherein the second set of retention structures comprise at least a deflection feature and a retention feature; and engaging the two shell parts with aid of the retention structures.

Abstract: A friction fit vent cover is configured for installation into a ventilation opening in a building surface. The friction fit vent cover includes a main frame, a pair of side panels and at least one friction fit assembly. The at least one friction fit assembly includes a spring, preferably a compression spring, which is able to be moved into an energized position (such as a compressed position). The pair of side panels are in communication with the spring and are able to slide relative to the main frame. In use, the pair of side panels are frictionally held against bordering sides of a ventilation opening when the spring is in the energized position, thereby holding the friction fit vent cover therewithin.

The locking mechanism includes a rotating member, a plurality of locking arms having a first end connected to the rotating member and a second end extending outward toward holes in the outer perimeter, and a plurality of guides fixedly mounted to the upper plate. Each guide engages a corresponding locking arm to convert the circular movement of the first end of the arm as rotating member rotates into a generally linear movement of the second end between a release position retracted toward or within the outer perimeter of the insertion portion and a locking position extended outward from the outer perimeter of the insertion portion.

Abstract: An embodiment of the invention is a method of integrating public and private calendars on a user-specific basis, such that a user is able to view multiple shared calendars created by different users. A system maintains event data relating to a future event, and receives a request to add that event to one of the user's calendars. The system creates a link between that event and the calendar, configuring the link so that updates to the event are automatically reflected on the calendar. It further enables the user to modify attributes associated with the event.

Abstract: A heat protective covering includes a heat-resistant flexible sheet for wrapping around an article that retains heat and interlocking fastening s to secure the wrapped sheet around the article. One part of the interlocking fastening s may be on the article itself. The sheet may define one or more notches to accommodate the contours of the article. The sheet may be defined as a pocket for the article. The heat protective covering may be used for any article that retains heat such as seat belt buckles, outdoor furniture, pool ladders, shopping carts, handles, etc. to substantially prevent burns caused by touching or otherwise contacting the article. The method of using the heat protective coverings is also provided.

Abstract: The present invention relates to furniture, such as cabinets, benches with storage, and armoires, that include at least one chamber that is configured to heat, cool, or alternate between heating and cooling. As such, any or each chamber may be dedicated to heating or keeping items warm; dedicated to cooling or keeping items cool; or configured to heat and cool as desired. Multiple chambers may be provided in any one piece of furniture that are capable of such heating and cooling in any combination. The furniture may also include chambers for traditional storage without heating or cooling capability. The invention is preferably used outdoors for keeping garments and towels warm for swimmers and bathers when configured for heating. Cooling configurations and chambers may be used to keep food and beverages cool.

Abstract: A novel environmental steam energy storage energizer is provided for transferring heat, e.g., to water for use with a heated vessel, e.g., a Dutch oven or a skillet, i.e., to provide an "environmental steam energy storage energizer oven". The environmental steam energy storage energizer includes a cylindrical body which is open both at its top and its bottom, and is constituted by an upper curved peripheral wall, a lower curved peripheral wall and a median floor extend between the curved peripheral walls to form an essential part of the environmental steam energy storage energizer. The median floor provides a trap chamber below the median wall and which is bounded peripherally by the lower curved peripheral wall. At least one pre-determined, fixed-diameter escape aperture is provided in the lower peripheral wall to permit the escape of steam bubbles generated by heating which has been trapped in the trap chamber and to stabilize the environmental steam storage energizer.
