Abstract: Systems and methods for securely operating web servers, operating systems, etc. Methods of embodiments include creating virtual roots for executive jails and corresponding administrative jails within parent operating systems. Embodiments also include setting privileges associated with each of the executive jails to disk read-only. Moreover, administrative jails are hidden from executive jails and the parent operating system is hidden from both sets of jails. Also, the methods include cross mounting user configuration information and/or applications from the administrative jails and in to the corresponding executive jails. Methods can include password protecting the administrative jails and/or restricting the executive jails from initiating outbound communications. Methods can also include storing security related syslog data in locations associated with parent file structure of the parent operating systems.

Abstract: Document holder for holding one or more sheets of paper in a generally upright position having a curvilinear element which engages the underside of a vertically inclined sheet of paper in fulcrum-like fashion along a horizontally extending line no higher than the vertical centerline of the paper and imparts an upwardly concave curvature to the paper which enables the paper to extend for at least one-half of its length above the fulcrum without buckling under its own weight. The lower portion of the paper is held in a fixed position so that the paper does not rotate about the fulcrum due to the weight of the paper above the fulcrum. The embodiments disclosed include modular units for use on walls and other vertical surfaces, circular units with rotary bases for use on countertops and other horizontal surfaces and a copy holder for use on desks and the like.

Abstract: Brace for supporting a soft-covered book so that it can stand in an upright position without collapsing. The brace includes a pair of support flaps which are attached to the covers of the book along the edges opposite the binding and are adapted to overlie each other when the book is closed. A fastener releasably secures the support flaps together to hold the covers in a spaced parallel relation when the book is closed.

Abstract: Document holder for holding magazines, brochures and other looseleaf papers in an upright position, with a relatively large portion of each document being exposed to view. The device is constructed in modular form and is readily increased and decreased in size to hold different numbers of papers. THe disclosed embodiments include both a wall-mounted rack and a carousel rack.

The reinforcement has a generally chevron shape with parallel opposing edges of similar length and contour. In one embodiment, the reinforcements are supplied in a precut form in which a plurality of the reinforcements are nested together along an axis with the opposing edges of adjacent ones of the reinforcements in close mating relationship with each other and no gaps or waste material between the reinforcements. In another embodiment, the reinforcements are cut in place from a sheet of adhesive backed reinforcing material and applied by a punch which also cuts the binding holes in the paper.

Abstract: Card storage system in which cards such as file cards are suspended in a box, tray or other receptacle by means of laterally extending shoulders on the cards. The shoulders incline inwardly and downwardly from the upper portions of the lateral edges of the cards and tend to keep the cards centered laterally as well as upright in the receptacle. The system can be utilized with existing receptacles as well as new ones.
