  • Patent number: 7704620
Abstract: A fuel cell stack that includes cascaded stack stages and tube bundle flow restrictions for providing a cathode input gas to each stage in the stack. The stack includes a first flow pipe for providing cathode gas flow to a first stage of the plurality of stages of the fuel cell stack. The fuel cell stack also includes a second flow pipe that receives a cathode exhaust gas flow from the first stage and fresh cathode gas flow, where the cathode exhaust gas flow and the fresh cathode gas flow are combined and sent to a second stage of the plurality of stages of the fuel cell stack. The tube bundle flow restriction is positioned within the second flow pipe and controls the flow of the cathode gas flow to the second stage, where the flow restriction provides a laminar flow through the control valve to the second stage.

  • Publication number: 20090205520
Abstract: A drive unit is provided for a rotating component of a printing press, which rotating component is disposed between spaced lateral frames. A bearing assembly supports the rotatable component so that it is movable in a direction of movement which is perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the rotatable component. A journal of the rotatable component does not penetrate an alignment of the lateral frame in its mounted orientation. The rotatable component is rotatably driven by an independent drive motor. A rotor of the drive motor is joined to the journal of the rotatable component in a torsion-proof, detachable configuration. A bearing assembly for the journal is provided with a movable bearing block that receives the journal of the rotatable component, and which is located on an interior portion of the bearing assembly, relative to the plane of the lateral frame. A stator of the driving motor is rigidly, and removably connected to the movable bearing block.

  • Patent number: 7553569
Abstract: A fuel cell system utilizes at least one flow restricting device to vary the stoichiometric quantity of cathode reactant flowing to two discrete cathode sides of the fuel cell system. The varying of the stoichiometric quantity of cathode reactant can be between two predetermined values. The varying of the stoichiometric quantity can be during a steady state power demand placed on the system and/or during transients in a power demand placed on the system. The airmover that supplies the cathode reactant stream can be operated in a substantially continuous manner during a continuous power demand placed on the fuel cell system.

  • Patent number: 7331287
Abstract: A device is provided for use in storing a blanket that is to be exchanged on a cylinder of a printing machine and which has a plurality of blankets on its periphery. The blanket to be exchanged is stored in a tray that includes at least one code reader which will detect a characteristic that was applied to the blanket for purposes of its identification. The detected characteristic is matched with a plan that is used to accomplish a planned printing process. If a discrepancy in the match is noted, a message, which warns of the presence of an incorrect blanket, is generated before that incorrect blanket is mounted on the cylinder.

The channel is defined by at least one wall and by an opening directed toward the circumferential surface of the cylinder. At least one wall of the opening extends into the channel at an acute angle with respect to the cylinder circumferential surface. A deflection-resistant retaining device, provided with a first end and with a second end, is pivotably mounted in the channel. The first end holds an angled end of the dressing that is introduced into the channel opening. This first end is disposed remote from a bearing and pivoting point of the retaining device.
