Publication number: 20220415468Abstract: This invention relates to an improved means of easily, quickly, and sanitarily distributing prepackaged medication to patients in a hospital or nursing home. The invention utilizes an small easily wiped down and cleaned housing which can be carried by a shoulder strap from patient to patient without leaving it unattended in a hallway. An internal bar-code reader and touch screen computer provide a positive means of identifying each prepackaged medication container, recording patient vital information, presenting to a nurse only the medication for a specific patient, and transmitting vital information and time of dispense to a hospital's inhouse computer network.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 29, 2021Publication date: December 29, 2022Inventor: David Robert Schoenfeld

Publication number: 20060247173Abstract: The invention relates to relatively short peptides (termed ?-conotoxins herein), about 10-25 residues in length, which are naturally available in minute amounts in the venom of the cone snails or analogous to the naturally available peptides, and which preferably include two disulfide bonds. The ?-conotoxins, as described herein, are useful for as neuromuscular blocking agents, such as muscle relaxants.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 7, 2006Publication date: November 2, 2006Applicants: The University of Utah Research Foundation, Cognetix, Inc.Inventors: Baldomero Olivera, Richard Layer, Maren Watkins, David Hillyard, J. McIntosh, Robert Schoenfeld, Jacob Nielsen, Robert Jones
-
Publication number: 20050214213Abstract: The present invention is directed to conotoxin peptides, derivatives or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof. The present invention is further directed to the use of this peptide, derivatives thereof and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof for the treatment of disorders associated with voltage-gated ion channels, voltage-gated ligand channels and/or receptors. The invention is further directed to nucleic acid sequences encoding the conotoxin peptides and encoding propeptides, as well as the propeptides.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 4, 2005Publication date: September 29, 2005Applicants: University of Utah, CognetixInventors: Baldomero Olivera, J. McIntosh, Maren Watkins, James Garrett, Lourdes Cruz, Michelle Grilley, Robert Schoenfeld, Craig Walker, Reshma Shetty, Robert Jones

Patent number: 6276491Abstract: A controller for controlling a medium flow fed from a supply to at least one hydrostatic or aerostatic pocket of a bearing, a threaded spindle nut or a guide, having a housing and having pressure chambers which are separated by a control element, movable against the force of a spring element, and of which a first pressure chamber, subjected to a first pressure level, is directly connected to the medium supply, a second pressure chamber, subjected to a lower, second pressure level, is connected to the medium supply via a first flow resistance, and a third pressure chamber, which is subjected to a third pressure level which corresponds to that in the pocket, is connected to the pocket, a control element forming a variable second flow resistance is arranged between the second and third pressure chambers influencing the medium flow to the pocket and whose magnitude is raised by the action of the force of the first pressure chamber but is lowered by the action of the spring force and by the actions of the forces oType: GrantFiled: February 29, 2000Date of Patent: August 21, 2001Inventor: Robert Schönfeld

Patent number: 6220281Abstract: The invention pertains to a regulator for regulating a medium flow to at least one hydrostatic or aerostatic pocket of a bearing, a nut for threaded spindles or a guidance from a medium supply, with pressure chambers that are separated by a variable flow resistance control element that can be moved against the force of a spring element. A first pressure chamber is directly connected to the medium supply, a second pressure chamber that is charged with a lower pressure level is connected to the medium supply via a first flow resistance, and a third pressure chamber is charged with a third pressure level that corresponds to the pressure in the hydrostatic or aerostatic pocket.Type: GrantFiled: February 11, 2000Date of Patent: April 24, 2001Inventor: Robert Schönfeld

Patent number: 4009852Abstract: Harness assembly apparatus for maintaining close grouping of a plurality of flexible elongate objects such as wires as the objects make a turn and are formed into a bundle. The apparatus includes retaining means for releasably holding the objects and further includes support means to be mounted on a panelboard or the like and supporting the retaining means. The retaining means includes generally rigid abutment means which engages the bundle and defines the turn therein, and an arm captively held by the support means. The arm is movable relative to the support means between a retaining position wherein it is disposed above the abutment means and extends at least partially outside the turn and a release position wherein the arm is disposed substantially inside the turn of the bundle. At least a portion of the abutment means is responsive to movement of the arm towards its release position to move away from the turn of the bundle as defined by the abutment means when the arm is in its retaining position.Type: GrantFiled: September 15, 1975Date of Patent: March 1, 1977Assignee: Panduit CorporationInventors: John Jean Bulanda, David Robert Schoenfeld
