  • Publication number: 20240124196
Abstract: A thermoplastic bag includes duplicative seals. In particular, in one or more implementations, a thermoplastic bag includes a first seal and at least a second seal reinforcing the same area of the thermoplastic bag. For instance, in one or more implementations, the thermoplastic bag includes multiple seals along each side edge or along the hem. If one seal fails, the other seal(s) can remain in place to prevent leaks. Thus, the duplicative seals of the thermoplastic bag can provide reinforced strength and desired aesthetics.

  • Patent number: 11958660
Abstract: Thermoplastic bags with phased deformation patterns are described. In particular, one or more implementations comprise thermoplastic bags with ring rolling, SELFing, or other deformation patterns phased or aligned relative to the sides of the bags. The phased deformation patterns can allow for reducing or eliminating deformation patterns in areas of the thermoplastic bag in which side seals or other seals are formed. Additionally or alternatively, the phased deformation patterns can provide for zones that provide differing properties (e.g., functional or aesthetic). Such zones can vary aligned along a width of the thermoplastic bag and optionally also vary along a height of the thermoplastic bag. The differing zones can provide the thermoplastic bags with phased deformations that provide leak prevention, liquid containment, and other benefits.

  • Patent number: 6926112
Abstract: The present invention provides a system for generating an end of travel feedback to the driver of a vehicle where the vehicle includes a steer by wire system. The system includes a steering wheel, a steering shaft, a motor, and a brake. The steering wheel is configured to control the steer by wire system. The steering shaft is coupled to the steering wheel and rotates in conjunction with the steering wheel. To provide road feel resistance to the driver, the motor is coupled to the steering shaft. Further, the brake is coupled to a shaft of the motor and is adapted to provide mechanical resistance when the road wheel is at an end of travel position.

  • Patent number: 6899196
Abstract: A steer-by-wire system for an automotive vehicle comprises a driver interface system that includes a steering wheel mounted on a steering column. A reaction torque generator is coupled to the steering column for applying a resistive torque in response to a steering command to create a steering feel. An electromechanical brake, such as a magnetorehological brake, is also coupled to the steering column. During operation, a controller receives an input signal indicative of road wheel response to a steering command and determines when the road wheels have reached a limit, such as by engaging mechanical stops mounted on the vehicle or prevented from movement by curb or other external obstacle. In response, the controller actuates the electromechanical device to prevent rotation of the steering wheel and thereby alert the driver that the road wheels have reached a limit.

  • Publication number: 20030144065
Abstract: A golf putter including a putter head attached to a shaft, a fishing reel, two spinning line guides, fishing line, a golf ball with a countersunk screw and a fishing lure. The fishing reel, with line, and line guides are attached to the putter shaft. The putter can be used to putt in the game of golf, practice putting and retrieving the ball by attaching the golf ball to the fishing line with the countersunk screw or casting and retrieving a fishing lure by attaching the fishing lure to the fishing line.
