Abstract: The present invention provides systems and methods for end squaring and/or dividing elongated materials by determining an actual orientation of the elongated material, or an actual position of an associated pair of positioning mechanisms that are contactable with the elongated material, and changing the actual orientation to correspond with a desired orientation through independent movement of the positioning mechanisms prior to or during the end squaring and/or dividing operation.

Abstract: Disclosed is a container for an entertainment system where the right and left panels each have a cutout which aligns with a channel on a bottom panel. The combination of the cutouts and channel are adapted to receive a seatbelt. Also disclosed is an entertainment system which includes a container with a combination of cutouts and a channel which are adapted to receive a seatbelt. Lastly, a method securing a container to a vehicle seat is disclosed.

Abstract: An artificial log assembly is provided which produces a realistic looking flame resembling that of a natural wood log fire. The assembly includes a grate, cement logs positioned upon the grate, and a combustible log made from wax or other clean burning material positioned among the cement logs. The grate includes steps which allows the artificial logs to be positioned in such a manner that they resemble a stack of natural wood logs. One or more cement logs extend over the combustible log to deflect the flame generated thereby. An ash pan is removably positioned beneath the grate for trapping the ash generated by the combustible log.

Abstract: A copier's corona assembly carries arms holding a corona emission wire between a tensioning spring and current limiting resistor. Slugs secure the corona wire to the spring and resistor under tension provided by the arms and the spring while, simultaneously, facilitating a current path through the wire assembly formed by the wire, spring, resistor, and slugs. The slugs, made of a deformable metal receive, in a slot, a corona wire and one lead of the resistor or one end of the spring. A press closes the slot and crimps the slug closed to securely fasten together the wire and the lead or end.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing die cast end portions on corona grid wires and the use of a common runner to interconnect a sequence of grid wire assemblies to facilitate simultaneous connection and or assembly of a plurality of grid wires to individual resilient bifurcated retainers to form the completed charge corona assembly.
