Abstract: A system of voice information diffusion through a packet-switching telecommunications network starting from a platform for an automatic voice teleservice system. The message diffused by the platform, can be listened to from a plurality of terminals. The messages are transmitted through the telecommunications network in coded form, the code including a semantic representation of messages, and then are converted into audio signals at a network access point of the packet switching telecommunications network. The network access points are distributed geographically and can generally be accessed by a local tariff call.

Abstract: A mobile robot includes an autonomous displacement device, a microphone, a loudspeaker, a mobile telephone module, and a voice analysis module able to interpret voice commands through the mobile telephone module to control the displacements of the mobile robot. The microphone is connected to the voice analysis module and thus also enables a human operator within earshot of the mobile robot to control the displacements of the mobile robot through voice commands.

Abstract: A method to enable a user of a system to obtain access to one or more services, for example, to enable a caller to access some information on a remote server. The system first prompts the caller to identify himself by entering a subscriber code. A speaker verification is then made using a voice comparison between the caller's voice and a voice reference associated with the subscriber the caller claims to be. Access to the requested services is given if the outcome of said voice comparison is positive. If the system does not store a sufficiently good voice reference to verify the identity of the subscriber the user claims to be with a predetermined degree of reliability, the caller is prompted to enter a confidential PIN code. If the PIN code entered is correct, access to the requested services is given and a new voice reference is stored.
