  • Patent number: 6472492
Abstract: The invention concerns the manufacturing, on an industrial scale, of multifunctional polyorganosiloxanes. The process of the invention is a (semi) continuous method of manufacturing polyorganosiloxanes with Si-alkyl and SiOR (R-alkyl) functionality, in which: 1. A dehydrogenocondensation reactor A is continuously fed with one polyorganosiloxanes with SiH, a ROR alcohol and platinum; 2. The gas formed is evacuated and recuperated continuously by eliminating the hydrogen H2 it contains and by recycling the ROH by condensation; 3. The polyorganosiloxanes with SiH and with SiOR derived from 1., is immediately transferred in a hydrosilylation reactor B, to recuperate finally one polyorganosiloxanes with Si-alkyl and with SiOR.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 18, 2001
Date of Patent: October 29, 2002
    Assignee: Rhodia Chimie
    Inventors: Christian Priou, Robert Violland

  • Patent number: 4791029
Abstract: Aqueous emulsions of crosslinkable polyaddition organopolysiloxane compositions, well adapted for the thin layer coating of flexible substrates to impart water-repellency and nonadherency thereto, comprise a first aqueous emulsion A including end-vinylated polysiloxanes, a vinylated cyclotrisiloxane, a hydroorganodiorganopolysiloxane, a polyvinyl alcohol and a polyalkylene glycol alkyl ether or alkylphenyl ether, and a second aqueous emulsion B which comprises a catalytically effective amount of a platinum group metal catalyst.

  • Patent number: 4201824
Abstract: Novel linear hydrophilic polyurethane polymers are presented. The polymers provide outstanding soil-release, anti-soil redeposition and anti-static properties when applied to natural and synthetic textile substrates, especially textile substrates containing polyester fibers. These polyurethanes are particularly useful in detergent compositions.

    Inventors: Robert Violland, Alain Lagasse
  • Patent number: 4180519
Abstract: Process for preparing acrylic monomers comprising reacting, in aqueos medium, amino alkyl esters of (meth) acrylic acid with a quaternizing agent wherein the aqueous solution obtained is washed with a water-insoluble solvent and the solvent thereafter removed. The quaternized monomers prepared are directly polymerizable to high molecular weight homopolymers or copolymers useful as cationic flocculants. This is a continuation of application Ser. No. 603,173 filed Aug. 8, 1975, now abandoned.

  • Patent number: 4159978
Abstract: Novel polyacetal polymers are presented. The polymers provide outstanding renewable soil release, anti-soil redeposition and anti-static properties when applied to natural and synthetic textile substrates, especially textile substrates containing polyester fibers.

  • Patent number: 4150946
Abstract: Water-soluble polyurethanes are obtained by reacting sulfonated anionic polyesters containing about 0.8 to 2% sulfur with at least one diisocyanate to form film-forming polyurethanes which are directly soluble in water. The polyurethanes of the invention are advantageously applied in aqueous solution form as sizing for textiles and for bonding leathers.

  • Patent number: 4110284
Abstract: Process of preparing anionic polyurethane latexes without the addition of a foreign emulsifying surface active agent comprising rendering the basic polyester or polyether constituent of the latex intrinsically emulsifiable or dispersible in water by incorporating an anionic functional group in the chain thereof and reacting this basic constituent with a diisocyanate in order to obtain a prepolymer which is then emulsified in water. The latexes obtained are advantageously applied in coating and impregnation processes, finishing of leather, and as binders for nonwoven fabrics.
