    Assignee: Halliburton Energy Services, Inc.
Inventors: Peter Reid Maher, Robert W. Bennett, David Allen Dockweiler
  • Publication number: 20230144265
Abstract: A magnetic tool may be provided with a ditch magnet that may include end plates (or handles) having a mostly open architecture, and these end plates may be permanently affixed to the ends of the magnetic bar. Ferrous metal may pass through by urging captured ferrous metal from one end of the ditch magnet to the opposite end. The captured ferrous metal may be urged from one end of the ditch magnet bar to an opposite end using a composite, multi-component wiper. The wiper may remove captured ferrous metal safely and effectively from the ditch magnet bar.

  • Patent number: 4951398
Abstract: A measuring and guiding attachment for a chain saw includes a plurality of parts and is easily stored and deployed. The attachment has a swing arm assembly that is mounted on a front handle bar of the chain saw and a caliper plate attached to the distal end of that swing arm assembly. The swing arm assembly includes an end mortise and tenon joint and a telescoping joint, and the caliper plate is movably attached to the swing arm assembly so that the attachment has a plurality of degrees of freedom. A limit stop assembly is also included to permit further adjustment of the attachment.

  • Patent number: 4671714
Abstract: A system for transporting a semi-trailer with a king pin and a wheel assembly on first and second drawn vehicles includes a stanchion on the first vehicle for releasably securing the trailer king pin. Ramp assemblies are provided on the vehicles and are extendable therebetween for loading and unloading the trailer. A pair of wheel cradles are independently and pivotally mounted to a butt plate box which in turn is adjustably mounted on a platform of the second vehicle. The wheel cradles receive the wheel assembly and have combination chocks and ramps pivotally mounted thereon.

  • Patent number: 4436487
Abstract: A system for supplying foam liquid concentrate via a concentrate pump to one or more water pump discharge outlets. The concentrate pump is powered by a variable output hydraulic drive which in turn is automatically modulated independently of the level of operation of the water pump by a control system which is responsive both to the water pressure developed by the water pump and to the foam liquid concentrate pressure developed by the concentrate pump.

  • Patent number: 4417601
Abstract: A novel variable proportioning valve for balanced pressure proportioning systems and variable liquid proportioning system incorporating such a valve. The valve is adjustably operable in a system to proportion or meter two liquids, for example, at constant pre-selected percentages with a resultant substantially constant or fixed ratio of the liquids even under varying flow conditions. The principles can be used with different and additional fluids. The variable proportioning valve incorporates in the body thereof a flow control plug coacting with an outlet port to control net outlet flow, and the plug is capable of having such configurations and sizes whereby relative motion between the valve plug and the port can provide a wide range of flow outputs of different specific characteristics. The valve has a construction permitting ease of disassembly for valve plug removal and replacement for purposes of repair, or for altering the operating characteristics of the valve, and therefore, that of the system.

  • Patent number: 4295801
Abstract: A small diameter fluid-driven pump for subterranean fluid sampling, and including an elongated cylindrical body formed by a centrally disposed control valve block assembly and a pair of hollow motor piston chambers on opposite sides of the valve block and joined thereto. Within the centrally disposed control valve block assembly in axial alignment with the motor pistons are a spool pilot valve and a spool fluid distribution valve. The spool pilot valve is constructed to obviate stalling during its reciprocation under the impress of a power fluid directed thereto, and it functions to control the shifting of the distribution valve to which it is internally connected within the valve block assembly.
