  • Patent number: 10328508
Abstract: Systems and methods for a table-mounted stand that houses a hand-held masonry cut-off saw. In some embodiments, the stand provides a fixed mount that keeps the saw stationary while the operator is allowed to feed the work piece through the saw with both hands. In some embodiments, the stand is configured to mount and un-mount the saw without the need for separate tools or time-consuming restraints. In some embodiments, the stand includes a throttle control that is activated via foot control, which allows for two-hand manipulation of the work piece being cut by the saw mounted on the stand. In some embodiments, the two-handed work-piece manipulation provided by the stand allows for precise curved and multi-angled cuts. In some embodiments, the stand is made of lightweight construction (e.g., aluminum) for ease of setup and mobilization.

  • Patent number: 5951505
Abstract: A wound dressing is disclosed in which a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer, preferably of a soft, pliant adhesive composition having one or more hydrocolloids dispersed therein, is backed by an elastomeric film and has its opposite (bodyside) surface covered by a removable primary release sheet and a release strip, with at least a portion of the release strip being interposed between the adhesive layer and the primary release sheet along one side edge of the dressing. The primary release sheet and the release strip have superposed or overlapping tab portions that project outwardly beyond a side edge portion of the dressing. In a preferred embodiment, the adhesive and backing layers are translucent and the release strip is visible therethrough by reason of sharp color or tonal contrast in relation to the primary release sheet.

  • Patent number: 5302017
Abstract: A mixing drum unit for mixing a plastic resin and an aggregate includes a metal support drum and a plastic liner resting in the drum. An outer cover is secured to the drum overlying the outer end of the liner. The liner includes a cylindrical portion telescoped into the drum extending outwardly to an outer frustoconical portion having an outer end opening. The liner has a V-shaped shallow base which promotes mixing and ease of cleaning. The drum and liner include telescoping drive paddles which extend axially throughout the liner and project radially for coupling. The liner drive paddles extend into the outer frustoconical liner portion. The liner paddles have a radial wall and an inclined wall with an inner apex. The paddles are asymmetrically arranged about the drum and liner with at least one paddle spaced asymmetrically between the two adjacent paddles. The drum paddle is a metal plate projecting radially into the triangular liner paddle for direct coupling therebetween.
