  • Publication number: 20140096440
Abstract: A combustible artificial firelog assembly having a combustible base member and at least first, second, and third artificial firelogs is provided. The first and second artificial firelogs are coupled to the combustible base member and at least partially define a central cavity. The first and second artificial firelogs define at least one side opening therebetween that communicates with the central cavity. The third artificial firelog is supported by the first and second artificial firelogs and is disposed over the first and second artificial firelogs. The assembly further includes a metal retaining member disposed around an outer peripheral surface of the first and second artificial firelogs. The assembly further includes a combustible member that is disposed in the side opening that ignites the first, second, and third artificial firelogs.

  • Patent number: 4542258
Abstract: The present invention includes a method for applying bus bars to a solar cell by one single solder dipping operation. The bus bars are first temporarily spot attached to the pre-metallized surface of a solar cell by means of a high temperature adhesive. The solar cell and bus bars are then solder dipped allowing the solder to flow between the bus bars and solar cell surface by capillary action, adjacent the adhesive.

  • Patent number: 4075397
Abstract: A novel electrochemical cell is disclosed utilizing: (a) an anode which contains as the anode-active material an alkali metal, (b) a cathode which contains as the cathode-active material a chalcogenide of the empirical formula M'A.sub.p wherein M' is one or more metals selected from the group consisting of titanium, zirconium, hafnium, niobium, tantalum and vanadium, A is one or more chalcogens selected from the group consisting of oxygen, sulfur, selenium and tellurium, and p is a numerical value between about 1.8 and about 3.2; and (c) a solid electrolyte consisting essentially of one or more solvated metal-alkali metal-halogen compounds of the formula ZMX.sub.n wherein Z is an alkali metal, M is a metal selected from the group consisting of Zn, Cd, B, Al, Ga, In, Tl, Sn (stannous), P and As, and wherein X is one or more halogens selected from the group consisting of chlorine, fluorine, bromine and iodine and n is a numerical value equal to one plus the valence of the metal M.
