  • Patent number: 11443320
Abstract: A transaction processing system capable of processing transactions and implementing a flexible circuit breaker process during a cyber event. A circuit breaker module initiates a circuit breaker event (CBE), an account identification module identifies one or more affected accounts, and a rule generation module generates conditional rules for evaluating each transaction presented to a transaction processing module. If a transaction presented to the transaction processing module satisfies the conditional rule, the transaction is not processed. Transactions not processed are stored in memory and groups of impacted transactions are assigned to resource modules based on common characteristics. The resource module determines if impacted transactions should be allowed to process. A message notification module monitors and receives notifications and updates a dashboard display to allow users to visualize the impact of a cyber event.

  • Publication number: 20180293289
Abstract: A biometric data brokerage system (BDPS) and method for transfer of biometric records between at least one biometric collection device (BCD) and at least one biometric processing service (BPS) are disclosed. Embodiments provide a BDPS that utilizes biometric record translation routines that allow for biometric record submissions from any BCD to any BPS, regardless of biometric record format requirements. The need for costly and proprietary biometric record formatting software on BCDs is thereby eliminated.

  • Patent number: 5451416
Abstract: Nondigestible fat compositions having relatively flat Solid Fat Content (SFC) profile slopes between typical room and body temperatures are disclosed. These nondigestible fat comprise a liquid nondigestible oil and relatively small nondigestible particles dispersed in the oil to control passive oil loss. These nondigestible particles consist essentially of a cocrystallized blend of a nondigestible solid polyol fatty acid polyester hardstock and a crystal modifier capable of inducing this hardstock to form these relatively small particles. Edible fat-containing products comprising these nondigestible fat can be less waxy tasting due to the lower level of solids required for passive oil loss control.

  • Patent number: 5334354
Abstract: Utility clamp for use in a laboratory or other environment containing caustic elements. The clamp has a fully-enclosed hinge which is isolated from the environment. The critical hinge components such as the hinge pin and coil spring are internally located in the hinge and are protected from corrosion or attack by agents which might contact the clamp during normal use. A method is also provided for assembling the clamp whereby pre-loaded springs are positioned within the internal cavity to normally bias the jaws of the clamp in an open position relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 5194281
Abstract: This invention relates to polyol fatty acid polyester compositions having improved physiological properties, organoleptic properties (i.e. mouth feel), liquid/solid stability and chemical stability. These polyol fatty acid polyesters are characterized in that (a) not more than about 0.6% of the fatty acid groups contain three or more double bonds, not more than about 20% of the fatty acid groups contain two or more double bonds, and not more than about 35% of the fatty acid double bonds are trans double bonds; (b) the polyesters have an iodine value between about 15 and about 60; and (c) the solid fat content/liquid solid stability ratio is not greater than 0.25. This invention also relates to a process for preparing these improved polyol polyester compositions.

  • Patent number: 4490711
Abstract: Structure ir provided for assisting a person in keeping track of appointments, times for taking medication or the times for turning on electrical equipment or such. The structure comprises an electronic circuit capable of generating signals representing up to N different pre-set times at which specific events are to occur where N is a selected positive integer such as 20. Switches are then provided, each switch corresponding on a one-to-one basis to a unique pre-set time, such that the user can set those switches corresponding to the pre-set times at which the user desires events to take place. An alarm is provided to indicate in sequence when the actual time corresponds to the pre-set time corresponding to each set switch.
