  • Patent number: 6564802
Abstract: A support for a disabled golfer removably attaches to a conventional golf cart without requiring modification to the cart, and provides support for a golfer during a golf swing. The present support essentially comprises a pair of telescoping tubes, with one end of an outer tube being pivotally clamped to one of the roof support uprights of the golf cart and the opposite end of the outer tube being retained within a guard clamped to the opposite roof support upright to allow limited vertical movement of the assembly for variations in golfer height, terrain, etc. An extension tube telescopes from the outer tube, and a support belt is removably attached to the distal end of the extension tube. The golfer need only position the cart as desired, extend the support as needed, and secure himself or herself using the belt for support during the golf swing.

  • Patent number: 5413085
Abstract: An apparatus and method to direct and control propelled balls by attachment or placement of a guide chute in front of existing or newly manufactured ball pitching machines. If a curve ball is desired, a cantilevered resilient strap is inserted inside the guide chute and positioned to engage the propelled ball, conform to the ball surface shape and induce a ball spin resulting in a curve ball trajectory.

  • Patent number: 4091946
Abstract: Cable reels are loaded, unloaded, transferred or otherwise handled relative to the flatbed of a vehicle by a pivotally mounted lift assembly which includes a main rotary shaft having two or more extended lift arms rigidly attached in a generally U-shaped configuration. The main rotary shaft, when attached along one edge of the flat bed, is capable of pivoting through 180.degree. rotation by hydraulic rams or the like, and the lift arms include an arrangement for securing the cargo outwardly of the shaft with hydraulically actuated gripper finger arrangements. Arrangement of a plurality of lift assemblies in tandem so that the extremities of the lift arms are on intersecting arcs enables the cargo to be lifted from the ground surface onto the flatbed and transferred to different selected positions. Power winches appropriately positioned or peripheral engagement of cable reel containers allow rotary cargo for cable reel winding or unwinding.
