  • Patent number: 10062019
Abstract: Print data generated in a page description language can be processed using a processor. The processing can include checking whether conditions specified in trigger information are satisfied for at least one page of the document and/or for the entire document. Based on the checking, an action associated with the trigger information can be executed that changes the print data. The print data supplied as input print data can be output as output print data after the execution of the action. For example, images, text, barcodes, and/or graphics may be inserted via in the action. Finishing options may also be added, or fonts may be changed.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: November 30, 2016
Date of Patent: August 28, 2018
Assignee: Océ Printing Systems GmbH & Co. KG
Inventors: Cam Hung Mach, Robert Wallner, Adelheid Wiringer

  • Publication number: 20160070517
Abstract: In a method to print a source PDF file with at least one reference to an external object, initially determining whether at least one reference to an external object is included in the source PDF file. If so, a target PDF file is generated wherein, in addition to information of the source PDF file, all referenced external objects are included in the target PDF file in an embedded form. The target PDF file is converted into print data and the target PDF file is printed.

  • Patent number: 9147139
Abstract: In a method or system for processing a color print image for digital printing at a predetermined printing apparatus, the print image is deconstructed into color separations according to characteristic color curves of the printing apparatus. The color separations are stored in a data unit as greyscale bitmap images and at least one of a color code and color values are associated with each color separation in the data unit. The print image encoded in the data unit is presented at a display device for monitoring or management before printout at the printing apparatus, the print image being presented at the display device by means of at least one of the color code and color values associated with the respective color separations such that the individual color separations are transparently superimposed.

  • Patent number: 8397162
Abstract: In a method or system to generate a document data stream of a first format that is serially structured per page, document data of a second format that comprise multiple pages of a document are linked with the document data stream. In the document data stream of the first format a separate characteristic type mapping is provided that indicates that contiguous document data that comprise multiple pages are linked with the document data stream. In the first format a first page of the multipage document is completely and successfully run through a parsing process before document data of subsequent pages are run though the parsing process.
