  • Publication number: 20070187310
Abstract: A drainage system for separating oil and debris from water run-off wherein a chamber in the path of flow of the run-off includes a downwardly inclined screen and a debris-collecting fence beneath the screen to maintain separation between the debris and water; and an organic absorber may be positioned in the path of flow of the water beneath the screen to remove organic oils from the run-off.

  • Publication number: 20060048424
Abstract: The present invention is a rail mounted forward trigger mechanism featuring in-line linkage between the primary and secondary triggers. Access to adjustment features provides adjustability while simultaneously allowing the mechanism to remain installed. The linkage is also hinged and mounted coaxially with the disconnect pivot point of a weapon, thereby allowing field stripping the weapon without removing the linkage. Connection to the primary trigger of the host weapon is ideally accomplished with a can and roller assembly for smoother and more controlled actuation. An electrical embodiment is also disclosed.

  • Publication number: 20060048431
Abstract: The present invention is a rail mounted sling fitting for threaded type slings. A loop body terminates with at least two clamp ends that, when tightened, grasp a rail installed on a weapon. The preferred tightening means is a bolt extending diametrically through the clamp ends. An alternative embodiment extends the lower jaw of each clamp until they almost make contact, which prevents the sling from interfacing with the rail itself.

  • Publication number: 20060026517
Abstract: A method for adding words to an online dictionary used for spellchecking is described. A spellchecker module compares words of an electronic document with words in the online dictionary and identifies a word in the electronic document that is missing from the dictionary. After a user indicates a desire to add the missing word to the dictionary, the spellchecker module determines at least one related-word form of the missing word. The related-word forms depend upon the part of speech of the missing word. The spellchecker can prompt the user to identify the part of speech and then to verify each determined related-word form. The spellchecker concurrently adds the missing word and at least one related-word form of the missing word to the online dictionary in a single ‘add-to-dictionary’ operation.

  • Publication number: 20060017947
Abstract: A system for providing document conversion services that uses XML (extensible Mark-up Language) to provide document conversion services. A document type definition (DTD) defines tags and attributes for document conversion services, and includes a number of global variable definitions. Each “convertor” tag defines a document conversion filter, using a “filter” tag contained within it. Within each convertor tag, multiple input and output tags describe the capabilities of the convertor, and can be used to define the input document types and output document types for the associated filter. The filter tag can have a “class” attribute or the like, that may be used to provide a fully qualified class name for the filter. A “remote” tag defines whether the conversion for an associated filter is performed on an identified remote server computer system.

  • Publication number: 20050262206
Abstract: A method, system and apparatus for selective commenting in an e-mail message. A selective commenting method can include the steps of designating two or more recipients for an e-mail message, and selecting a subset of recipients from among the designated recipients. A comment to the e-mail message can be composed and the e-mail message can be transmitted to the designated recipients. Importantly, the comment can be included with the transmission only for the selected subset. In this regard, the including step can include the step of embedding the comment in the e-mail message. To that end, the including step further can include the step of visually formatting the comment to be distinct from a remainder of the e-mail message. Alternatively, the including step further can include the step of demarcating the comment so as to distinguish the comment from a remainder of the e-mail message.

  • Publication number: 20050246967
Abstract: A debris-filtering downspout and other water runoff conduits and receptacles are disclosed, and include a screen mounted within a conduit, a culvert, a storm water conveyance or secured to a water collection basin. The screen provides high water throughput and is self-cleaning while effectively filtering debris contained in an incoming water stream. Optionally, media pads may be included to further scrubbed the water before it exits the downspout assembly.

  • Publication number: 20050091579
Abstract: The present invention is a system, method and apparatus for converting a slide show presentation for use within a non-presentation application such as a Web conferencing or virtual classroom application. In accordance with the present invention, a slide show presentation in its native format can be processed to extract slide title information for each slide in the slide show presentation. Additionally, important text within slide further can be extracted. Each slide in the slide-show can be converted to a raster image and disposed within markup. The markup can be annotated with the important text and both the markup and the slide title can be provided to the non-presentation application for use in concert with the non-presentation application. In this way, the context of each slide can be preserved for use within the non-presentation application as can an image of each slide itself.

  • Publication number: 20050072738
Abstract: A method and apparatus for separating oil and debris from urban water run-off, the apparatus being made up of a chamber which is mounted in a storm drain system and has an inner basin with a tilted wire wedge wire screen filter in the path of flow of the run-off, an organic absorber floats on the water as it is collected in the basin, and a discharge plate has a series of slots which are sized to regulate the flow rate of discharge of the water from the basin for removal through an outlet at the lower end of the chamber. The method and apparatus are conformable for use with existing storm drain systems along curbs or gutters as well as parking lots, runways and the like.

  • Patent number: 4048910
Abstract: A plenum cover for a vehicle air conditioner of the roof-mounted type. The cover is essentially rectangular in shape having an opening at the top with elongated side walls and a base wall spaced below the top opening and being joined to the elongated side walls by opposed end walls. The base of the cover has a continuous elongated groove located substantially parallel with and spaced between the side walls. The groove in the base extends upwardly toward the top opening in the cover. The groove in the base is adapted to straddle the partition in an armored truck or taxi cab which separates the driver compartment from the cargo or passenger compartment. A plurality of diffusers located in either the base or side walls but on oppposite sides of the grooved portion of the base for diffusing cool air into the compartments located on opposite sides of the vehicle partition.

  • Patent number: 3998627
Abstract: A process is described for recovering metals which are present in aqueous solution as complex metal ammine ions having an ammonia co-ordination of at least two. According to the process, the complex metal ammine bearing solution is contacted with a cationic ion exchange resin in the ammonium form to effect loading of the complex metal ammine ions from the solution onto the resin. The loaded resin is then stripped by contacting it with a controlled volume of aqueous ammonium salt stripping solution having an ammonium ion concentration of at least two molar. The free ammonia and ammonium salt concentrations in the stripping solution are controlled such that the controlled volume of stripping solution is effective to substantially completely strip the free ammonia and metal values from the resin.
