  • Publication number: 20180347268
Abstract: A shutter control system for use with a network. The shutter control system includes a network device coupled to the network to communicate an indication. The shutter control system also includes a shutter controller configured to receive the indication, to determine if the indication meets a predefined condition, and, in response to the indication meeting the predefined condition, to communicate an actuation signal. A shutter device, having at least one motor, receives the actuation signal, and operates the at least one motor based on the received actuation signal.

  • Publication number: 20150194040
Abstract: An intelligent sensing device including a temperature sensor to detect a temperature proximate the intelligent sensing device, an optical sensor to detect a presence of one or more objects, a controller to receive the temperature and the presence of the one or more object, to determine if the received temperature exceeds a temperature threshold, and to track a number of the one or more objects, and an indicator to generate an alarm responsive to one of 1) the received temperature exceeding the temperature threshold and 2) the number not matching a number threshold.

  • Publication number: 20150084421
Abstract: An intelligent wall plug for use in a location. The location may be associated with a power outlet providing power and a network manager configured to communicate using a first communication protocol. The intelligent wall plug may comprise a plug removably connectable to the power outlet, a device outlet, an interface port configured to receive a second device operable to communicate using a second communication protocol and a processor coupled to the device outlet. The device outlet may be configured to receive a first device for receiving power from said power outlet in response to the first device having been plugged into said power outlet. The interface port may be configured to i) communicate with said network manager via said first communication protocol, ii) determine if a second device has been plugged into said interface port, and, iii) translate the first communication protocol into the second communication protocol.

  • Publication number: 20150088331
Abstract: An intelligent wall plug being removably connectable to an electrical outlet and for use with a remote wireless manager configured to communicate via a first communication protocol. The intelligent wall plug includes a device receptacle to receive a device operable to communicate in a second communication protocol. The intelligent wall plug also includes a processor coupled to the device receptacle to receive control signals from the remote wireless manager via the first communication protocol, to determine if a device has been connected to the device receptacle, and, in response to having determined that a device having been connected to the device receptacle, to translate the first communication protocol into the second communication protocol, and to control the device with the communicated control signals.
