Abstract: A fluid tight slide fastener (10) including a slider (15) slidably associated with opposite edges (12a) of two flanking strips (12) to provide for their closure, and an upper end stop (16) with which the slider (15) is removably engaged upon closure. A clearance-recovery wedge-like coupling is included at the upper stop (16) and in the slider (15), which includes respective tilted sections (19,21) and opposite tilted sections (46,47) to make, upon engagement of the upper stop (16) and slider (15), a clearance-recovery taper fit.

The present invention also regards an upper stop and a slider for a slide fastener of the aforesaid type.
