Abstract: An apparatus and process are described for removing and reinserting a fireplace insert into a hearth cavity for purposes of cleaning the cavity and its associated chimney, and for initially installing a fireplace insert. The apparatus includes a pair of parallel rails with a track disposed along the inward sides, a tray with wheels for moving along the track, and rollers for conveying an insert onto the tray, and support means for adjusting the height of the rails.

Abstract: An apparatus is provided for transporting logs from the exterior of a dwelling to the interior of a dwelling. The apparatus comprises a platform and retaining members with a pair of wheels at either end thereof. The apparatus is operated on the exterior of a dwelling by rolling upon a pair of wheels, and in the interior of a dwelling upon the other pair of wheels.

Abstract: An apparatus and process for removing a fireplace insert are described. The apparatus comprises a pair of front rails which telescope from a pair of rear rails to be inserted beneath a fireplace insert. The rear rails have support means extending from the front thereof for supporting the front of the rails upon an elevated surface and adjustable support means at the other end for aligning the rear rails with a hearth surface.
