  • Publication number: 20230225923
Abstract: An apparatus for giving automated manipulation of soft tissue parts of a person's body. The apparatus includes at least one manipulating device for manipulating the soft tissue parts, and at least one frame on which the manipulating device is mounted. The frame is configured such that the manipulation device is movable in use along the person's body when the person is lying on a treatment table. The manipulation device comprises a plurality of pistons for performing the manipulation of the soft tissue parts.

  • Publication number: 20150161486
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining an object location relative to a digital document are disclosed herein. A marking is applied to at least one cell in at least one row and to at least one cell in at least one column of a digital document. The markings define an axis system for the digital document. Each object has a stored digital address within the digital document. When the digital document is converted into a fixed file format, a location of the object can be determined that will match the location of the object on the printed page. By comparing the digital address of the object to the axis system defined by the markings, after the document has been converted to a fixed document format, the location of the object is defined spatially.

  • Patent number: 8743452
Abstract: Metal nanovoids are grown on a stretchable plastic film. The fabrication proceeds by assembling the template of a single layer of close packed silica spheres on a conducting substrate. A conducting layer is then electrochemically grown on top to form a master. An elastomeric precursor is then coated on the master (e.g. by spinning) and is cured before removal. The resulting plastic film is then coated with a thin (e.g. 20 nm) layer of noble metal (e.g. Au, Ag or Cu), to produce a flexible film. Applications for such tuneable structural color would be coating of injection molded artifacts, such as mobile phone covers, car bodies to form an iridescent skin, wall and fascia decorations, loudspeaker coatings, architectural tent coverings, and clothing.

  • Patent number: 8488158
Abstract: Systems and methods for printer optimization. A method for optimizing a readable dot pattern printed on paper for use with a digital pen is disclosed herein. A test sheet is printed on a selected printer; the first test sheet has a plurality of regions. Each of the regions has a partial digital pattern configured with digitally readable indicia. Each of the indicia has a defined area. An outline is applied to each of the plurality of regions on the test sheet. Ink is applied onto the digital paper using a digital pen within the applied outlines. Data is uploaded from the digital pen to a processor. The smallest indicia readable by the digital pen are determined. A printer control file is updated with the determined smallest indicia.
