  • Patent number: 11574391
Abstract: Local detail enhancement (LDE) is an imagery contrast enhancement method applied to visible and uncooled long wave imagery. It enhances local spatial detail through the use of a median based high/band pass filter. The generated detail channel is blended with a histogram-equalized version of the image, creating an image that contains both local detail as well as retaining some amount of global intensity. Retaining global intensity coherency allows for easier target acquisition when compared to fully local forms of contrast enhancement.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: June 16, 2021
Date of Patent: February 7, 2023
Assignee: BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc.
Inventors: Derek T. Robison, Robin L. Brown, Jason V. Irr, Gregory W. Sletterink

  • Publication number: 20140071869
Abstract: A system and method dynamically scale power consumed by the circuitry of an electronic device based on channel state and/or data rate. The electronic device then operates according to the power scaling. The scaling may be in accordance with an effective data rate, a number of multiple input multiple output (MIMO) layers, receiver type, a cell scenario, or a number of carriers. A number of MIMO layers can be predicted based on at least one of channel conditions or a channel quality index (CQI).

  • Patent number: 7685121
Abstract: A hierarchically-organized linked list structure have a first level comprised of sections of sequentially-ordered segments, and a second level comprised of representatives of each of said sections at the first level. A method for maintaining the hierarchically-organized linked list structure to facilitate segment insertion, retrieval and removal.

  • Patent number: 6907508
Abstract: In a digital data processing system having a memory component, a structure and method for managing available memory resources. Free pointers to respective free memory blocks are stored in memory blocks maintained as a linked list. In a system having a hierarchically-organized memory component, a small number of the free pointers are maintained at a relatively higher performance level of the memory and the balance of the free pointers are maintained at a relatively lower performance level of the memory.

Date of Patent: June 14, 2005
Assignee: Emulex Design & Manufacturing Corporation
Inventors: Glenn Dearth, Carl J. Lindeborg, Robin L. Brown, James A. Duda, Sudhir Srinivasan
