  • Patent number: 10326691
Abstract: Various embodiments for managing data transmission errors in a computing storage environment, by a processor device, are provided. In one embodiment, data traffic is routed through a data path in the computing storage environment, and in response to detecting errors in routing the data traffic through the data path, the routing of the data traffic is switched to an alternate data path. In response to reaching a predetermined error threshold while routing the data traffic through the alternate data path the computing storage environment, at least certain data traffic is wirelessly transmitted from a source to a switch nearest a destination of the certain data traffic.

  • Publication number: 20180189737
Abstract: Disclosed embodiments provide methods and systems for automatically reflecting organization changes in a cognitive collaboration environment. Upon transfer from a first group to a second group, a human resources system notifies a cognitive organizational system. The cognitive organizational system analyzes assets belonging to the user in his/her old group, and analyzes assets belonging to colleagues in the new group. Assets from the old group that are not commonly used in the new group are flagged, and an electronic communication is provided to the user, identifying the assets that are recommended for withdrawal by the user. The user is then given an option to withdraw from one or more of the assets.

  • Publication number: 20160283457
Abstract: An apparatus, method, system, and program product are disclosed for creating a data mark. An input detection module detects input types and user inputs on a form of an application in response to receiving an indication to create a data mark. Each input type may correspond to a respective user input. A user selection module receives user selected input types that are to be stored in the data mark with their respective user inputs. A data mark creation module stores the data mark including the user selected input types with their respective user inputs.

  • Patent number: 8745345
Abstract: A method, system, and computer program product for performing a backup operation in a computing environment is provided. A dataset corresponding to a backup copy is examined to determine if the dataset has changed from a previous backup operation. If the dataset has not changed, a backup inventory registry is consulted to determine a current version of a backup copy. The current version is one of a plurality of available versions. The backup operation is performed using the current version of the backup copy.
