  • Publication number: 20220248137
Abstract: A concept for modifying a loudspeaker signal to prevent diaphragm over-deflection, in which a diaphragm deflection signal is predicted block by block, in overlapping time blocks, on the basis of the loudspeaker signal, so as to obtain one diaphragm deflection signal block per time block, is made more efficient. In accordance with an embodiment, a temporal evaluation position is determined at which then an attenuation factor is calculated from the current diaphragm deflection signal block, with the application of which a modified current diaphragm deflection signal block is obtained, and then a modified loudspeaker signal is synthesized on the basis of the modified current diaphragm deflection signal block.

  • Patent number: 11323806
Abstract: Apparatus configured to predict a diaphragm deflection signal, block-by-block, in overlapping time blocks based on the loudspeaker signal to obtain one diaphragm deflection signal block per time block. The apparatus is configured to determine a temporal position of a maximum deflection of a current diaphragm deflection signal block of a current time block within an overlap area with a subsequent time block and to calculate a level up to which the current diaphragm deflection signal block can be controlled without diaphragm over-deflection for the current time block by considering a comparison of the current diaphragm deflection signal block with a subsequent diaphragm deflection signal block or an estimation of the subsequent diaphragm deflection signal block from the current diaphragm deflection signal block at the temporal position. The apparatus is configured to attenuate the current diaphragm deflection signal block and to synthesize a modified loudspeaker signal.

  • Patent number: 8801725
Abstract: An instrument for determining the proper orientation for repairing a defect site on a tissue surface generally comprises a shaft, a plurality of probes operatively coupled to the shaft, and at least one indicator operatively coupled to the plurality of probes. The probes are configured to extend beyond a first end of the shaft and are movable relative the shaft. The at least one indicator is configured to display the displacements of the probes relative to the first end so that the displacements of the probes may be compared. A method of using the instrument when repairing a defect on a tissue surface is also disclosed.
