Abstract: A cargo loading and carrying device for use on a motor vehicle roof is disclosed, and according to the present invention, is designed to load cargo onto the roof of a motor vehicle from the rear of the vehicle. The present invention consists of a generally rectangular frame with side walls and two main rollers, all located on the roof of the motor vehicle. The main frame continues downward to the trunk of the motor vehicle, where telescoping legs elevate a third main roller up from the trunk of the motor vehicle. Two guide beams connect the third main roller and the main frame portion located on the roof, and act as guides and resting beams for the cargo as it is hoisted onto the roof via a crank and cable assembly. As a crank handle is turned, a cable wraps around the forward located main roller, hoisting up the cargo, which is connected to the opposite end of the cable.
