The decorative door covering includes a first cover panel having a first exterior side, a first interior side, a first top edge and a first bottom edge; the first interior side for covering the first door side; and a second cover panel having a second exterior side, a second interior side, a second top edge and a second bottom edge; the second interior side for covering the second door side. The decorative door covering also includes a connector strip for connecting each of the first and second top edges of the first and second cover panels, respectively, in order to allow the connector strip to be placed on the top side of the door in order to hang each of the first and second cover panels on the opposed first and second door sides of the door.
