Abstract: Method and device are provided where a barrier is formed at or around the trigger of a device with a rest area for the index finger so that the finger can remain (extended) off the trigger when the device is not in use. Position and/or size of the rest area is adjustable to, for example, accommodate index fingers of various sizes. Adjustment of the position of the rest area can be achieved by means of a screw which slides a resting piece to a selected correct location, or by means of inserts that may be indexed to a selected length. Device can be a nailer, and the barrier is configured to accommodate a depth gage of the nailer.

Abstract: Protective devices and methods suitable for users of pneumatic tools are contemplated for providing covering sufficient to stop or impede a nail's momentum for protection of more commonly injured areas of the body. Protective devices and methods are provided to protect areas of the body such as: a hand, including thumb and index finger of the hand not holding the nailer; a wrist; a knee; a foot; and/or an ankle. Protective covering can be made of any material that is sufficient to stop or impede the nail's momentum. The material may be flexible or stiff. The material may not significantly impede normal joint articulation or significantly interfere with normal work functions. Material can be stiff and the protective device be composed of smaller elements joined so as to allow normal articulation.

Abstract: A sound radiating loudspeaker and tubular enclosure combination wherein the tubular enclosure is either formed in a helical configuration or two or more straight tubular sections which interest each other at an angle. In either form the tube is capable of free standing on a supporting surface with a loudspeaker closing the upper end of the tube and angled generally toward a listening area. Also in either form, additional speakers enclosed in shorter tubes may be joined to the main tube with all speakers either in a common plane or in planes at a slight angle to one another.
