Abstract: According to some embodiments, systems and methods for altering the draw of a cigar are provided. The systems may include an elongate shaft with a working portion at the distal end. The working portion may have any of number of blades, corners, recesses, grooves, textures, and sharp points, among others. The methods may include assessing the draw of a cigar, inserting the working portion into the cigar, using the working portion to catch, cut, and pull and then remove tobacco from within the cigar, testing the draw of the cigar, and repeating the above steps until the draw is ideal.

Abstract: Cigar repair glues containing a quantity of insoluble fibers and methods of repairing cigars using such fiber-containing glues. Fibrous or matting cigar glues and/or adhesives may be prepared by mixing a quantity of glue or adhesive with a quantity of insoluble or substantially insoluble fiber, such as cellulose fibers. The method of using the fibrous or matting cigar glues and/or adhesives may include various steps, which may include: identifying an air leak or discontinuity in a cigar wrapper; preparing the fibrous or matting glue to encourage fiber mixing/suspension; and applying the prepared fibrous or matting glue to the desired location on the cigar.

The method may include performing at home nighttime whitening using carbamide peroxide, or any other whitening product that breaks down slowly. The method may include performing at home daytime whitening using hydrogen peroxide, or any other whitening product that breaks down quickly. The daytime whitening may use a chemically accelerated hydrogen peroxide or a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and carbamide peroxide. The at home daytime whitening may be performed at least partially concurrently with the at home nighttime whitening. The at home daytime whitening may be performed after the at home nighttime whitening.

Abstract: In an exemplary embodiment, a method of creating an impression of structures of the human oral cavity comprises: preparing impression trays; creating a first, or base, impression; grinding out portions of the base impression; and using the void(s) in the ground out base impression to take a second, or wash, impression. The base impression is taken with an excess of a high-density impression material which is positioned to extend beyond the structures of interest (of which the impression is being taken). The base impression is removed and all fine structure surrounding the structure(s) of interest is ground out. A wash impression is then taken using a low-density impression material. The base impression creates a seal around the structure(s) of interest (a closed system), thereby producing omnidirectional hydraulic pressure on the low-density material. Such omnidirectional hydraulic pressure produces a highly detailed final impression from which a high-quality model (e.g., cast) can be made.
