  • Patent number: 9745953
Abstract: A method of replacing a wind turbine blade includes connecting a plurality of first hoisting devices between a wind turbine support hub and the wind turbine blade, suspending the wind turbine blade from the wind turbine support hub through the plurality of first hoisting devices, connecting a plurality of second hoisting devices between the wind turbine support hub and the wind turbine blade, supporting the wind turbine support blade with the plurality of second hoisting devices, disconnecting the plurality of first hoisting devices from the wind turbine blade, and lowering the wind turbine blade to the ground.

  • Publication number: 20070214369
Abstract: A removable drive such as a USB drive or key is provided for connecting to computer devices to provide secure and portable data storage. The drive includes a drive manager adapted to be run by an operating system of the computer device. The drive manager receives a password, generates a random key based on the password, encrypts a user-selected data file in memory of the computer device using the key, and stores the encrypted file in the memory of the removable drive. The drive manager performs the encryption of the data file without corresponding encryption applications being previously loaded on the computer system. The drive manager may include an Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) cryptography algorithm. The drive manager generates a user interface that allows a user to enter passwords, select files for encryption and decryption, and create folders for storing the encrypted files on the removable drive.

  • Publication number: 20060252026
Abstract: A method for cryopreserving bivalve oocytes, particularly those of Pacific oysters, by preparing a solution of a cryoprotectant in water, combining this with the oocytes, carrying out a first cooling step to a temperature of about ?4° C. to ?20° C., and carrying out a second cooling step to a temperature of about ?25°°C. to ?55° C.

  • Patent number: 4024531
Abstract: A display device using a scanned dot-matrix array produces a running display by shifting the displayed characters by one column at each scan of the array. The characters are fetched from store sequentially and are decoded into dot-matrix form. The dot columns corresponding to each character are then shown sequentially as the display is scanned. The process is repeated at the next scan with a one-column displacement of the characters. In one embodiment the characters are stored in a recycling shift register and the required displacement is achieved by means of a counter incremented at each scan of the array. In another embodiment the characters are stored in a random-access memory and the sequencing and displacement are achieved by means of a preprogrammed micro-computer.

  • Patent number: 3967073
Abstract: A PBX is disclosed having automatic number identification (ANI) equipment for generating signals which identify the calling station and trunk numbers of outgoing calls. A memory is interconnected with the ANI equipment for storing the identification signals prior to transmission to a central office. The memory can store up to five sets of identification signals and aids in preventing dial tone delay by decreasing the probability that the ANI system will become overloaded due to central office delay.
