  • Patent number: 8336819
Abstract: A reduced-volume casing for a landing gear including a chassis for fixing and taking up loads, to which the landing gear is exposed and an envelope-type structure arranged on the chassis for taking up pressurization forces. The chassis can include, in particular, a frame which is even to the output opening of the landing gear and is provided with beams used for receiving means for maintaining the fastening bearings of the gear and also including polygons which are used for receiving the fastening bearings of the gear manoeuvring strut and are fixed to the beams, wherein the beams and polygons form a lattice structure.
    Type: Grant

Date of Patent: December 25, 2012
    Assignee: Airbus Operations SAS
Inventors: Paul De Ruffray, Rodolphe Morel
  • Patent number: 8302905
Abstract: An aircraft landing gear including a leg, a bracket which defines the axis of rotation of the leg on the operating plane defined by the leg extension and retraction positions and a leg operating device consisting of at least one strut whose first end is provided with a first means for connecting to the landing gear element and second end is provided with a second means for connecting to the element of the gear-receiving landing gear casing for which the at least one strut expands outside of the operating plane of the gear leg.

  • Patent number: 8136754
Abstract: A steering device for a landing gear of an aircraft, including at least one actuator and at least one rack, located alongside the landing gear strut, outside and parallel to an upper tube of the landing gear. The steering device includes bevel pinions having a first conical pinion with an axis perpendicular to an axis of the landing gear strut and which meshes with a second conical pinion coaxial with a rotary annulus so that movement of the rack parallel to the strut is transferred to the annulus perpendicular to an axis of the landing gear through the bevel pinions having an axis perpendicular to the landing gear.
