  • Publication number: 20130052378
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a plastic container which is substantially impervious to oxygen by creating an oxygen barrier film by providing a base, and creating a dried oxygen barrier on the base, printing ink on the dried oxygen barrier, and disposing an ultraviolet cured outer layer on the ink. Dimensioning the oxygen barrier film to substantially circumscribe at least one of a side wall and a floor of the plastic container. Providing a mold, the mold having a floor and a side wall and a cavity, and placing the oxygen barrier film in the cavity. Injection molding a plastic container within the cavity, the oxygen barrier film, being in facing relationship with the plastic container.

  • Patent number: 8359788
Abstract: A system for removing sap from a plurality of trees includes a main tube supported at least in part by a plurality of drain tubes without the use of a spinal support. The main tube as supported can negotiate a path between a plurality of trees. The drain tubes are adapted to be supported at the trees. The drain tubes are in fluid communication with the main tube for removing sap through a drain tube into the main tube.

  • Publication number: 20120061279
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a plastic container which is substantially impervious to oxygen comprising the steps of corona treating a raw stock of polypropylene film; coating a first side of said raw stock of polypropylene film with an aqueous oxygen barrier solution; placing the film in an injection mold; and injection molding a polypropylene material into the mold to bring the polypropylene material in direct contact with the aqueous oxygen barrier solution. An oxygen resistant container has a floor. A sidewall extends from the floor. An oxygen barrier material is disposed on a film. The film is disposed on the container so that the oxygen barrier material is in direct contact with the sidewall. The oxygen barrier material is one of a nano-silicate and a nano-clay.

  • Publication number: 20100227094
Abstract: A method for manufacturing of a plastic container which is substantially impervious to oxygen by providing a bottom film oxygen barrier, the film oxygen barrier having an area greater than the area of a floor of the plastic container; providing a side oxygen barrier film, the side oxygen barrier film being dimensioned to circumscribe a sidewall of the plastic container and having a length greater than the length of the plastic container. A mold has a floor and a sidewall, the mold having a groove extending below the floor and dimensioned to receive an excess length of the side oxygen barrier film therein, and the bottom oxygen barrier film being dimensioned to extend at least partially across said groove. The film oxygen barriers are placed within the mold and a plastic container is injection molded within the cavity. An oxygen resistant container has a floor. A sidewall extends from the floor. An oxygen barrier material is disposed on the floor and sidewall.
