  • Publication number: 20230181241
Abstract: An apparatus includes a body and a shaft assembly extending distally from the body. The shaft assembly includes a proximal portion defining a longitudinal axis, a steerable portion distal to the proximal portion, and a distal portion distal to the steerable portion. The steerable portion is operable to drive the distal portion laterally away from and toward the longitudinal axis. The shaft assembly further includes at least one flex circuit assembly. The at least one flex circuit assembly includes a first navigation sensor configured to measure impedance signals that indicate a real-time position of the steerable portion. The at least one flex circuit assembly further includes a second navigation sensor configured to measure magnetic signals that indicate a real-time position of the steerable portion.

  • Publication number: 20210085952
Abstract: Disclosed herein are inflators and methods of using the inflators for inflating inflatable devices, such as balloons, used in medical procedures. Such procedures include angioplasty and the transcatheter delivery of prosthetic heart valves and stents. The inflators overcome the resistances typically generated during such procedures and reduces the force required to fully inflate the balloon.

  • Publication number: 20200179208
Abstract: Catheterization employing a cable extending from the catheter to a fixed point of attachment is performed by providing a sensor to detect rotation of the catheter about its longitudinal axis, the rotation causing the cable to form a twist. The cable extends through a cable arranger that operates to remove the twist. A controller receives signals from the sensor and generates control signals to actuate the cable arranger responsively to the signals from the sensor.

  • Patent number: 10525784
Abstract: A self-leveling mechanism for a mobility device, the mobility device including a chassis configured to propel the mobility device on a surface, includes a leveling structure on which is mounted a user support for supporting a user of the mobility device. The leveling structure is connected to the chassis by a swivel connection that enables the leveling structure to swivel about the connection, and by two linearly displaceable connections that are laterally displaced from one another. Two linear actuators are each configured to displace one of the displaceable connections to adjust a distance between each displaceable connection and the chassis. A sensor for senses a tilt of the leveling structure and a controller is configured to operate the linear actuators in accordance with the sensed tilt.

  • Publication number: 20160338770
Abstract: Apparatus, consisting of a catheter having a distal end and a predefined outer diameter. The apparatus also has a plurality of elastic filaments, each filament having at least one electrode fixed thereto and having two ends fixed within the catheter distal end to hold the filament as a loop. The loop intertwines with one or more other loops of the other filaments so that the plurality of the filaments forms an open lattice, which expands when uncompressed to a lattice diameter at least 5 times greater than the outer diameter of the catheter.
