  • Publication number: 20210024195
Abstract: A polymer film assembly includes a stack of two or more polymer films. At least one of the polymer films includes directionally oriented molecules. The stack includes a first polymer film and a second polymer film layered with the first polymer film. A contracted bond assembly couples the first and second polymer films of the stack. The contracted bond assembly includes heated and contracted configurations. In the heated configuration the contracted bond assembly includes a bond fusion zone and a film interface having directionally disoriented molecules and an interface width between the bond fusion zone and the remainder of the first and second polymer films. In the contracted configuration the film interface is a contracted film interface having a contracted interface width less than the interface width and a contracted thickness greater than one or more of film thicknesses of the first or second polymer films.

Abstract: An aerostat deployment system includes fore and aft envelope housings with respective folded fore and aft portions of an inflatable aerostat envelope therein. A support frame is interposed between the fore and aft envelope housings, and a payload is coupled with the inflatable aerostat envelope between the fore and aft envelope housings at the time of deployment inflation. One or more of the fore or aft envelope housings includes a brake configured to control unrolling of the folded fore or aft portions. • Publication number: 20140035759
Abstract: A submersible high current PWM-based source system for marine electromagnetic surveying for hydrocarbon exploration. The system converts a periodic, arbitrary digital signal to a high output current in a HED optimized for maximum dipole moment, using PWM modulation and real-time current regulation for precise output amplitude. The design and choice of components allows a wideband EM signal to be generated with sharp transition characteristics and substantially independent of the AC input power characteristics. This in turn enables for improved tailoring of an EM source signal for a specific subterranean prospect, and thus increased accuracy of the EM data.

  • Patent number: 8278904
Abstract: A power supply system uses improved Class G amplifier architecture for high bandwidth operation with low distortion. The power supply system switches between multiple power supply rails, depending on the signal level handled by the power supply system. The lowest usable supply rail voltage is chosen to minimize power dissipation in the output driver, thus optimizing efficiency. Each supply rail has an associated driver capable of sourcing current to the amplifier output. When a supply rail is selected, its associated driver is enabled and other driver(s) not associated with the selected supply rail are disabled via separate disable control signals. The disabling of the deselected driver may be delayed until current above a predetermined threshold is sensed at the output of the enabled driver. In addition, the frequency of switching between the power rails may be limited via various means designed to limit distortion in the power supply system.

  • Patent number: 4704961
Abstract: A screen printing assembly attachable to a screen frame supporting a screen having a pattern. A support frame, which comprises a flat aluminum extrusion, is positionable adjacent and attachable to the screen frame. A squeegee assembly is movable relative to the support frame and positionable generally on the screen to press ink through the screen. A sealed chamber is connected to the bottom of the support frame and positionable generally adjacent the screen. The squeegee assembly presses the ink through the screen within this sealed chamber. The sealed chamber safety contains the printing ink solvents which are deposited in it. A flexible plastic sheet forms the upper surface of the sealed chamber. This sheet, which can have ultra-violet properties, rolls at its opposite ends about rod assemblies. The sheet is attached to the squeegee assembly and moves with it between these rod assemblies. Tension springs mounted in the rod assemblies keep the sheet taut.

  • Patent number: 4545300
Abstract: A screen printing assembly attachable to a silk screen frame including a support frame positionable adjacent and attachable to the screen frame. A squeegee and flood bar assembly deposits and forces ink on and through the screen and onto a substrate disposed adajcent the screen. The assembly includes a mechanism movable along the support frame and the screen frame and a flexible sheet is attached to and moves with the mechanism. The flexible sheet is sealed to the support frame, and forms in part a sealed chamber in which the squeegee and flood bar assembly deposits the ink on the screen. Solvents can be sprayed into the sealed chamber which contains the solvent so that it does not escape not the atmosphere. An inert gas is injected into the chamber displacing the oxygen in it so that the ink does not dry out as rapidly, and safely maintaining the contained solvent. A method for screen printing using this sealed chamber.
