  • Patent number: 9842205
Abstract: Time-varying passwords for user authentication are disclosed. Example methods disclosed herein for password generation include obtaining a base password including characters, determining a first character position of the base password at which a first time-varying data element is to be inserted to determine a time-varying password, the first time-varying data element to be computed based on a time-varying parameter, and determining a first offset to be applied to a value of the time-varying parameter to compute the first time-varying data element. Example methods disclosed herein for password evaluation include accessing a base password including characters, applying a first offset to a value of a time-varying parameter to determine a first time-varying data element to be inserted at a first character position of the base password to determine a time-varying password, and comparing the time-varying password with an input password to perform authentication based on the input password.

  • Patent number: 7024423
Abstract: A method and system for generating service forms and service orders in an order management system. To avoid entry-related mistakes, a master form is used to enter verified data about a customer and the services to be provisioned. The data entered into the master form is then used along with scheduling and query-related data to create a series of substantially pre-filled service forms which contain information relevant to the requested service.

  • Publication number: 20040210452
Abstract: A method and system for unifying and sharing business applications with respect to a user of a business channel. The method and system include authenticating and authorizing, at a unified portal, user preferences and restrictions in response to a user request for access. An enterprise function provides a common customer identifier (CCI) for users associated with a plurality of business channels, wherein the enterprise function associates a CCI to the user accessing the unified portal. In response to a user selection of a business application, information associated with a plurality of business applications is integrated across products and services, where the integrated business applications are responsive to authorized user selections of at least one business application from the portal. Information associated with the business channels, each user, and the products and services is stored at a virtual database warehouse for retrieval by said business applications upon request of the user.

  • Publication number: 20040208296
Abstract: An automatic notification system for certain telecommunications service applications allows for prompt and efficient “status item” notification messages to be sent to service subscribers without human intervention. A notification system application platform is configured to recognize certain trigger events (such as, for example, the completion of a line test) and retrieve subscriber information from a database regarding a preferred communication channel for receiving status item notification messages. The platform then automatically transmits the proper message to the subscriber (sending an email notification as a default channel) and, if appropriate, waits for a reply message from the subscriber. The “subscriber” may also include a company such as an access provider, which may receive notification regarding access tests formed in the network.
