  • Patent number: 8465400
Abstract: A linearly adjustable multi resistance ratio exercise apparatus provides at least two linearly adjustable flexible connector ends which can be pressed or pulled for functional and strength training exercises. The flexible connector ends may be interconnected with resistance wherein the pressing or pulling of one flexible connector end will provide the user a different ratio of resistance than the pressing or pulling of an alternate flexible connector end. The user can select a flexible connector end which will provide less resistance and will provide more flexible connector travel for functional training exercises. The user can select a flexible connector end which will provide more resistance and will provide less flexible connector travel for strength training exercises. Some flexible connector ends may share the same swivel pulley assembly. One handle assembly may be attached to multiple flexible connector ends to obtain additional ratios of resistance.

  • Patent number: 7922630
Abstract: A multi station exercise gym includes a pair of bicep curl pivot assemblies pivotally attached to a user support assembly. Each bicep curl pivot assembly includes a pivotally attached support pad assembly. The user support assembly, bicep curl pivot assemblies, and support pad assemblies can be adjusted to multiple positions to support a user's arms during multiple variations of bicep curl exercise. The bicep curl pivot assemblies can also be adjusted into respective storage positions to prevent interference when performing unsupported bicep curl exercises or other exercise movements on the multi station exercise gym. The bicep curl pivot assemblies can also be pivotally attached to a free standing exercise bench.

  • Patent number: 7771323
Abstract: An exercise apparatus includes a leg exercise arm assembly pivotally attached to a frame or user support assembly. A user can perform leg extension exercises and leg curl exercises with the leg exercise arm assembly. The exercise apparatus also includes a wrist roller assembly that is also pivotally attached to the user support assembly, frame, or leg exercise arm assembly. The wrist roller assembly can be locked into at least one storage position that allows a user to perform leg extension and leg curl exercises without interference from the wrist roller assembly and locked into at least one use position that allows a user to perform wrist rolling exercises. The wrist roller assembly includes a flexible line that can be connected to a high station free flexible line end, a mid section free flexible line end, or a low section free flexible line end based on the ratio of resistance desired.

  • Patent number: 7771322
Abstract: An exercise apparatus includes a leg exercise arm assembly pivotally attached to a frame or user support assembly. A user can perform leg extension exercises and/or leg curl exercises with the leg exercise arm assembly. The exercise apparatus also includes a wrist roller assembly that is also pivotally attached to the user support assembly, frame, or leg exercise arm assembly. The wrist roller assembly can be locked into a first position that allows the user to perform leg extension and leg curl exercises without interference from the wrist roller assembly and a second position that allows a user to perform wrist rolling exercises. A flexible line interconnects the leg exercise arm assembly with the wrist roller assembly as well as connecting the leg exercise arm assembly and the wrist roller assembly directly or indirectly with a resistance element. The flexible line maintains a substantially constant tension whether the wrist roller assembly is locked into a first position or into a second position.

  • Patent number: 7476184
Abstract: An exercise machine comprises a frame, a pair of arms pivotally mounted to the frame so as to be rotatable about a first axis to perform exercise, a resistance element connected to the arms to provide resistance for performing exercise and a path adjustment mechanism to independently adjust the travel path of the arms. The path adjustment mechanism may comprise a pair of mounting brackets for pivotally connecting respective arms to the frame. Each mounting bracket rotates about a second axis to change the travel path of the corresponding arm.

  • Publication number: 20070093365
Abstract: An exercise machine comprises a frame, a resistance element to provide resistance for performing exercise, a pair of arm assemblies connected to said resistance element and pivotally mounted to the frame so as to be rotatable about respective first axes to perform exercise and respective second axes to adjust the travel path of the arm assemblies. Moveable pulleys with at least two axes of rotation connect resistance to the arm assemblies. The moveable pulleys rotate and align when travel path adjustments are made to the arm assemblies and during exercise. The moveable pulleys also bumper against guide pulley assemblies to provide the arm assemblies a rest position. The rotation of the moveable pulleys allows the connection assembly connecting the resistance element to the arm assemblies to maintain a substantially constant tension when travel path adjustments are made.

  • Publication number: 20070093364
Abstract: An exercise machine comprises a frame, a resistance element to provide resistance for performing exercise, a pair of arm assemblies connected to said resistance element and pivotally mounted to the frame so as to be rotatable about respective first axes to perform exercise. The first axes of exercise are rotatable about second axes to alter the respective orientation of the first axes of exercise. This will allow a selection of different travel paths for the arm assemblies, such as converging, diverging, or neutral movements. The second axes are rotatable about third axes wherein the orientation of the first axes of exercise can be further altered. This would allow the arm assemblies to be adjusted in towards each other or out further away from each other. The further out the arm assemblies are adjusted from one another, a more pronounced arcuate travel path will be followed during exercise. The arm assemblies have a respective lever arm that can be angularly adjusted to perform pushing or pulling exercises.
