  • Patent number: 7582835
Abstract: A conduit body provides for the accommodation of wire extending therethrough. The conduit body includes a body wall having an elongate side wall, a bottom wall and an open end defining a body interior. At least one hub extends from the body wall in communication with the body interior. The hub includes a hub wall defining an access channel for passage of wire therethrough. The hub wall includes a guide surface outwardly of the body wall and protruding into the channel for maintaining a bend radius of the wire passing from the body interior through the channel.

  • Patent number: 7165980
Abstract: A grounding device for an electrical conduit which includes: a bushing having an outer wall and a notch in the outer wall; a lug rotatably accommodated by the notch; and a grounding connector with a set screw which is attached to the lug. The grounding conductor is electrically contacted to the bushing by the set screw. In addition, the force exerted by the set screw frictionally engages the lug with the bushing and locks the lug in place so that the lug is no longer free to rotate. The grounding connector can be reoriented by loosening the set screw and rotating the lug to a different orientation.

  • Patent number: 6555749
Abstract: A liquid tight conduit fitting for terminating flexible conduit to electrical enclosures. The fitting includes a sealing rib having a pitch of 0° located on the outer surface of the gland end and extending thereabout whereby a seal is provided between the outer surface of the gland end and the interior of a length of conduit secured thereto. The fitting further includes a protective hood secured to the gland end of the fitting whereby an annular cavity is defined about the gland end of the fitting, the annular cavity being sized to receive and enclose the terminating end of the conduit secured to the fitting.

  • Publication number: 20020068472
Abstract: An improved conduit body provided for compression connection. The conduit body comprises of a hollow body with elongate housing of generally oval shape having an open top extending along the upper peripheral edge of the body and around the open top. An internal cavity extends through the body and into the interior thereof. Moreover, the body includes a pair of oppositely directed annular hubs mounted on opposite ends of the conduit body. The hubs are externally threaded at their distal ends to mate with the threadless conduit, thereby providing a liquid-resistant connection.

  • Publication number: 20020050718
Abstract: An improved compression conduit fitting to be attachable to threadless conduit. The conduit fitting includes a generally cylindrical body with a longitudinal internal bore extending therethrough. The body has an externally threaded conduit receiving end and an externally threaded conductor egressing end located opposite the receiving end. A gasket of annular shape is placed within the internal bore of the body. Moreover, an internally threaded gland nut of annular shape is slideably positioned over the conduit to be securely attached to the body. Finally, a compression ring of annular shape is interposed between the gland nut and the body to compresses one end of the conduit against the gasket, thereby forming a liquid tight seal.
