  • Publication number: 20190035225
Abstract: A presentation of cards in a video poker game is implemented in a way that makes the game more exciting and fun for players. A randomly dealt hand is ordered and ranked with respect to straights, flushes, combination of straights and flushes, and of-a-kind hands. The ranking of a hand determines how each card in the hand is presented to the player with respect to timing and audio between revealing each card. Depending on the hand, the time interval between revealing the second and third cards may be longer than the interval between the first two cards. The time interval between revealing the third and fourth cards may be longer than the previous interval. The interval for the last card may be the longest depending on the hand ranking. The timing is determined by software on the gaming machine or device and is intended to increase excitement for the player.

  • Publication number: 20160219751
Abstract: A heat transfer interface structure and a method of manufacturing the same are disclosed. A substrate has a plurality of raised features formed on at least one surface the substrate. The raised features are deformable under a compressive force and have respective openings at end portions thereof. A thickness of a raised feature at the end portion thereof is smaller than a thickness of the raised feature at an intermediate portion of the raised feature.

  • Patent number: 9092950
Abstract: A method of allowing a player to play a gaming machine is described herein. The method includes displaying the game including a plurality of symbols at a plurality of symbol positions including at least one special symbol. A game outcome is randomly generated and displayed. An award is provided to the player if a winning combination is displayed in the generated first game outcome. The method further includes determining if a first special symbol is displayed in the generated first game outcome and responsively retaining the first special symbol during a subsequent second game, generating the second game outcome including the retained first special symbol, determining if a second special symbol is displayed in the second game outcome and responsively releasing the retained first special symbol in a subsequent third game if the second special symbol does not appear in the second game outcome.

  • Patent number: 8465358
Abstract: A gaming machine and method are provided which provide a slot game to a player. The slot game includes a plurality of cells arranged in a grid. The grid has a plurality of rows and columns. The game is played and an initial outcome is established and any payouts based on a winning outcome are paid. If a catalyst symbol appears in the initial outcome, any reactant symbols which appear in the outcome in a predetermined relationship with the catalyst symbol may be changed into a resultant symbol which is treated as wild. The resultant symbols and the other symbols form a secondary outcome. The player may be awarded an award or payout based on the secondary outcome.

  • Publication number: 20070259156
Abstract: Apparatus including: a conduit body having a lining that bounds a channel having a longitudinal axis; the lining including a lining base; the lining including raised micro-scale features monolithic with the lining base. Apparatus including: a cavity body at least partially enclosing a cavity; the cavity having a lining that bounds a channel having a longitudinal axis; the lining including a lining base; the lining including raised micro-scale features monolithic with the lining base. Process including: providing a three-dimensional graphics design for a device having a superhydrophobic pattern of raised micro-scale features on a base, the base and the raised micro-scale features being monolithic; inputting the three-dimensional graphics design to a three-dimensional rapid prototype fabrication apparatus; and laying down build material and monolithically fabricating the base and the raised micro-scale features.
